Lakers Present Kobe Bryant with Retirement Ring Ahead of Final Game
Kobe Bryant brought five championships to the Los Angeles during his 20-year career, so as he prepared to play in his final game, the organization thanked him by presenting him with one last ring.
No, it wasn't that elusive sixth championship ring. But it was a nice piece of hardware nonetheless.

The ring does a great job of paying tribute to Bryant's legendary career, as Mike of the Los Angeles Times noted:
While any ring with diamonds is sure to catch the eye, Nina Mandell of For The Win shared a few details that showed just how extravagant the ring was:
"The ring, according to a spokesperson for the jeweler, Jason of Beverly Hills, is made up of round white diamonds with a total carat weight of 4.87 carats set onto approximately 70 grams of 14 yellow and white gold.
There's five large diamonds for each of the championships Bryant won. The sides have his two jersey numbers and his nickname and there's even a "strip of as a testament to his Black nickname," according to the press release.
"
Not a bad retirement present.
Bryant obviously wishes he could have gone out by winning a sixth championship, but unfortunately his final year came during the franchise's worst season ever.
That means he will have to settle for a ring that pays tribute to his career, rather than just an individual season.
