The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t miss against the Phoenix Suns Sunday night.
Neither could their fans.
One lifelong supporter of the Purple and Gold nailed a half-court shot during a timeout, and in doing so won himself $95,000.
Lakers forward Julius Randle was apparently pumped, per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:
Everything going right for Lakers. Lakers fan hits halfcourt shot. Julius Randle rushes out to high five him. Fans gets a $95,000 check— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) January 4, 2016
According to MIke Trudell, the team’s official reporter, the fan already knows what he'll do with part of the money:
The gentleman who won $95,000 is a lifelong Lakers fan from California. He said he’ll use some of the $ to “see Kobe’s final game."— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) January 4, 2016
Good for this guy.
