Blazers' Cryptic Dame Post 🧐
Green Will Play in Game 4
Thursday, June 11
"Draymond Green is not on the post-shootaround floor, but Steve Kerr said the power forward will play through his back spasms," Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Green told CSN Bay Area sideline reporter Rosalyn Gold-Onwude he was dealing with the injury following Tuesday night's 96-91 loss in Game 3:
Green has been highly durable throughout his career for the Warriors. The Michigan State product missed just three games over his first two seasons in the league and has continued that positive trend in his third year.
He's dealt only with minor ankle and shin ailments, the latter of which kept him out of the lineup for three games in late March and early April. Golden State will hope the latest setback is also a minor one. Green has struggled thus far in the Finals, so the Warriors will hope the layoff between Games 3 and 4 will help him heal.
David Lee and Marreese Speights will see extended playing time if the back injury becomes an issue that forces Green out of games. With the Warriors down 2-1, it's a trade-off they can ill afford.
