Kings' Nik Stauskas Will Let HS Fan Take His Girlfriend to Prom for Retweets
It takes a brave person to ask to borrow someone's significant other. However, bravery can be rewarded.
Ever since Twitter has taken off, people have been using the social media platform to try to make their dreams come true. Among the most common tactics: bargaining dates for retweets.
Sacramento Kings rookie Nik Stauskas is the latest professional athlete to have a brave fan ask for a favor in exchange for retweets. Well, he was at least part of the negotiating process.
Things got going Wednesday night when one female fan asked how many retweets she would need in order for Stauskas to go to prom with her:
Then, one brave fan asked Stauskas how many retweets it would take for the Kings player to allow his girlfriend to go to prom with the high schooler:
Surprisingly, Stauskas and his girlfriend—Taylor Anderson—went along with it:
With an agreement in place, the fan sent out a tweet to try to secure a prom date:
A couple of hours in, Stauskas set a deadline:
