A New York Knicks Fan Is Wasting $25,000 to Attend Every Single Game This Season

Ken ChinJan 13, 2015

If you think it hurts to be a New York Knicks fan, imagine how Dennis Doyle feels.

Doyle recently lost his job as a lawyer and decided to pull $25,000 out of his savings to take on the task of attending all 82 Knicks games this season.

While the Knicks are a horrible 5-35 on the season, it hasn't stopped this diehard fan, as he told Marc Berman of the New York Post

"

Absolutely, I never thought it’d be this bad. Nobody did. But it reached a point where I know the losing is only going to be helpful in the long term. I actually find myself less upset. If they’re losing or getting blown out, I only know it’s going to help with the ping-pong balls.

If you wanted any more indication that he's going to see this season through, just look at the next game, a trip across the pond to see the Knicks face the Milwaukee Bucks in London. A little international travel won't stop him.

As Doyle explained to the New York Posthe can't stop now:

"

You mean shut it down like Melo? I can’t shut it down. I’m in too deep. I knew there was a chance this could be a really awful season. I thought they’d contend for the eighth [playoff] seed, but I knew there was a chance they’d be awful. I’ll see it through—if it doesn’t kill me first.

"

Well, Dennis Doyle. You are a better (and richer) fan than most out there. Kudos to you, sir. However, we still feel bad that you have to witness another 42 Knicks games.
