Adidas Introduces Florist City Collection Shoes for Damian Lillard and John Wall

Kyle NewportMar 14, 2014

Spring is in the air, and in the spirit of the season, Adidas is releasing its "Florist City Collection" for NBA rising stars Damian Lillard and John Wall.

Adidas has come up with an interesting concept that mixes the player with the city he represents. Each sneaker design is based on certain features of the player's city, so it's a good way to get many interested.

Lillard's "Rose City edition Crazy 1" pays respect to Portland's rose gardens and Rose Festival. There is a rose print on the upper part and laces with some green detailing to replicate the flower’s stem:

Wall’s "Cherry Blossom edition Crazy 1" will grab your attention:

There is a cherry blossom print on the outsole and on the laces to pay tribute to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. The city pride doesn't stop there. The gray design copies the stone used in the monuments throughout the city.

Both sets of shoes are designed for the young stars, but they are modeled after the Adidas Kobe 1. Each will be sold for $125.

The company found a way to intertwine NBA players and the city the star plays in. It's an awesome idea, and the execution was just as good.
