The Toronto Raptors' Kyle Lowry was just trying to do something nice for a guy sporting a Raptors jersey in Chicago. Lowry threw his sneakers in the direction of the guy in the Toronto jersey, but another fan found a way to grab both shoes.

There was very little effort by the guy in the Raptors jersey to snatch the sneakers while they were in the air, so part of the blame should go to him.

There is a happy ending to the story, via Jay Satur of the Toronto Raptors' official website

Lowry found out about Alan Vale, the Raptors fan from the video, on social media. When he saw what happened, he did something about it.

Before the Raptors' game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, Vale, and a friend, was invited to take in pregame warmups courtside. He also went to the player's lounge to sit down for an interview. That's where this story gets even better.

Lowry showed up with a pair of shoes for Vale. This time the NBA player made sure the fan got the sneakers by handing them to him.

Here's how Vale described the events, via Satur:

Blown away. We’re in the middle of an interview and then all of a sudden, there’s the starting point guard for the Toronto Raptors.

I was not expecting that. Absolutely not. I was pretty blown away just to be sitting courtside and watching the shootaround. This is definitely one of the highlights of my being a Raptors fan.

Looks like Vale ended up getting quite the experience to make up for the original incident.
