The Golden State Warriors are going to be without a key member of their team against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, All-Star power forward David Lee has been suspended one game for his role in a scuffle that took place between the Warriors and the Indiana Pacers in the fourth quarter on their game on Tuesday. 

Pacers center Roy Hibbert was also suspended one game for his role in the fracas.

According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, Golden State guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and Pacers guard Lance Stephenson were each fined $35,000 for their involvement in the fight.

Hibbert has posted 10 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for the Pacers in 2012-13. While his absence against the fast-paced Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday will certainly be felt, the Pacers won't miss him nearly as much as the Warriors will Lee. 

Lee, the league leader in double-doubles with 37, is averaging 19 points and a team-leading 11.1 rebounds. Without their top big man and arguably their best player, the Warriors could struggle to keep up with the Knicks' potent offensive attack.

Carl Landry is likely to start at the 4 in Lee's place. He has posted 11.5 points and 6.5 boards per game off the bench this season, but does not have as diverse of an offensive skill set as his suspended teammate. 

Golden State will need Landry playing at the top of his game and the Knicks defense to continue struggling to have a shot. 

Fortunately for both squads, Lee and Hibbert will be eligible to return to action in their next respective contests.
