Darren Collison sent the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder into overtime with one of the greatest shots you will ever witness.

With the Mavs trailing 98-95 and just 02.2 seconds remaining on the clock, Shawn Marion inbounded the ball. Vince Carter tipped it backwards, leading to Marion running in and grabbing possession.

Marion would toss it out to the perimeter, thus beginning the top play of 2012.

Collison would catch the ball in midair, push it towards the basket and look the other direction as if he knew it was going in. Just as he expected, it fell and this one was sent into OT.

NBA" target="_blank">Earl K. Snead of had the unanimous reaction.

There really is no other way to sum it up.

Even journalists from non-related areas responded, as Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star chimed in. His description of the play was about as accurate as you will find—as if "Wow" doesn't already.

As for those who call this play a gift, you're not alone in that belief.

Cari Champion, host of ESPN's First Take, offered up her insight. She described the play as "busted," which is rather accurate.

Judging by Collison's body language, however, he knew it would work.

We've seen some incredible plays this year, but none quite like this. Nothing at all like this.

Darren Collison finished regulation with 30 points but none more important than these three.
