Kyrie Irving Suffers Christmas Social Media Disaster, Cleans Up Mess on Twitter
Kyrie Irving didn't have the best Christmas. At least, not when you consider he may have had his Twitter account hacked, nearly split with his girlfriend and then had to go on Twitter to clean up the mess.
We should start from the beginning because that is as good a place to start as any.
The Cleveland Cavaliers guard apparently sent out this tweet on Christmas but quickly deleted it. This being the age of instant access, it was saved for posterity by Jocks and Stiletto Jill.
That is the young star with a couple of amorous women, neither of which are his current girlfriend, though one goes by the Twitter handle of @vuhjynasauraous, via Deadspin.
Irving then went on a Twitter rant trying his best to do impromptu damage control. While you were hanging with family, Irving was nervously tweeting and trying to make it up to his real boo, Natalia.
Here is the first of many.
That was not me posting that I'm really sorry fans, good night— Kyrie Irving (@KyrieIrving) December 25, 2012
He then went on to virtually cuddle with his girlfriend, who he even referred to as his wife.
Would never post something like that, especially when I have my wife @nataagataa, crazy!!!— Kyrie Irving (@KyrieIrving) December 25, 2012
Meanwhile, Natalia was busy posting a breakup post of sorts, only to delete it later. Here it is, via BuzzFeed.
She then, thankfully for Irving, changed her tune and blasted the women in the photo.
For everyone tweeting at me, nothing is up. Just a couple hoes who need attention and clearly in desire for more Ig and tweeter followers. ✌— Natalia(@NataaGataa) December 25, 2012
BroBible did some social media leg work and found some evidence that further proves Irving may be telling the truth here.
The consensus is the picture of Irving and the two women is from well before December 25. Evidence of this may be found in this picture, which was posted to Wale's Instagram on Christmas.
As you can see, Irving is rocking completely different attire.
So it seems this may be much ado about hacking, or women who were sitting on a dated picture for the perfect moment to drop it on the masses.
We live in a special time when social media can be the best of tools, but, as Irving proves, also one hell of a headache.
