The Chicago Bulls outscored the Boston Celtics in every quarter on Tuesday night, emerging with a 100-89 victory at United Center.

The Bulls gradually built their lead throughout the game, outscoring the Celtics by five points in the first quarter, two points in the second quarter, two points in the third quarter and two points in the final frame.

The Bulls shot an even 50 percent from the field and held an advantage on the glass (43-35), led by Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. Chicago also went 21-of-24 from the free-throw line.

Rajon Rondo posted 26 points and eight assists, albeit in a losing effort.

 

Player of the Game: Joakim Noah, C, Chicago Bulls

This could have gone to several players (including Boozer and Luol Deng), but a triple-double gives Noah the honor. 

Noah posted 11 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and three blocks while registering a plus-minus of plus-15 in his 31 minutes on the floor.

Boston hosts the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Cavaliers are led by second-year point guard Kyrie Irving, who was averaging 23.8 points and 5.6 assists headed into Tuesday's games.

Chicago visits the New York Knicks on Friday. The Knicks are 18-6 this season. Carmelo Anthony is averaging 27.9 points per game (second in the NBA) while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 46 percent from downtown.
