Updated Fantasy Football Rankings at Week 11: Top 80 WR's for the Rest of 2010

Nick CaronNov 20, 2010

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson seems to be fully recovered from the concussion that held him out a few weeks back.

Though he only caught two passes last week, he made them count, contributing 98 yards and a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.

He remains Mike Vick’s favorite deep threat—and that’s a good thing, considering how often the Eagles stretch the field, and how strong Vick’s arm is. Jackson moves up seven spots to sixth among WR’s for the remainder of 2010.

Jackson’s partner in crime, Jeremy Maclin, also moves up a few spots this week. Though Maclin isn’t quite the deep threat that Jackson is, he has caught at least four passes in five straight contests, including an impressive touchdown last week against the Redskins.

As long as Mike Vick continues to play at the level he is, Jackson and Maclin—as well as Jason Avant—should continue to produce big numbers.

With double digit fantasy points in six of his last seven games, Vikings second-year receiver Percy Harvin has been perhaps the sole bright spot in the Vikings’ passing attack in 2010.

He has battled through an ankle injury, migraines, and horrendous quarterback play from Brett Favre, but Harvin remains an excellent start from week-to-week.

With upcoming games left against the Redskins, Bills and Lions, his numbers could be on the rise even more.

Another Vikings receiver may finally be fantasy relevant again as Sidney Rice is expected to play this Sunday. Rice established himself as Brett Favre’s favorite deep-ball receiver in 2009 and Favre has expressed excitement regarding his return.

While Rice will need some time to get back into playing shape, expect the Vikings to send him deep a few times just to test things out. He moves up to 23rd among receivers.

Randy Moss failed his Tennessee Titans audition with a lackluster effort that saw him catch just one pass. While he did draw a deep pass interference call, those don’t particularly help fantasy owners.

Moss has been a major disappointment this season, catching only five passes in his last three games combined, and Vince Young isn’t likely to increase his value over Tom Brady or even Brett Favre. Moss falls another four spots this week to 16th among wide receivers.

One of the biggest risers this week was Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe who seems to finally be putting it together with Matt Cassel.

After a monster performance that saw him catch 13 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, Bowe is now the sixth-highest scoring wide receiver in 2010.

Those numbers are a bit inflated as he has played some of the worst pass defenses in the league over the past few weeks, but Bowe has done enough to prove that he deserves to be in his owners’ fantasy lineups now.

With eight touchdown receptions in his last five games, a case could be made that Bowe should be even higher than 17th.

A torn pectoral muscle will likely keep the Giants’ Steve Smith out a few more weeks, leading way for Mario Manningham to step in.

He did so in a big way last week, catching 10 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown as he played the possession role that Smith has done so well over the past two seasons.

The Giants still have some great matchups on their schedule including the Jaguars, Redskins (twice), and Vikings—all of whom have looked foolish at times in coverage.
