Updated Fantasy Football Rankings at Week 11: Top 30 TE's for the Rest of 2010
The Patriots' tight end numbers are about as easy to predict as lottery numbers. With 54 and 53 points respectively, Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski have seemingly gone back-and-forth all season with having productive fantasy days. While Hernandez has seen significantly more passes go his way and has nearly twice as many yards receiving, it has been Gronkowski who has caught six touchdowns to Hernandez’s two this season.
While we have to assume that Hernandez remains the one to own of these two based on his number of targets, the gap is closing. Hernandez drops two spots this week down to seventh while Gronkowski moves up eight spots to 17th.

Cleveland Browns veteran tight end Benjamin Watson continues to be Colt McCoy’s favorite receiver as he caught five passes for 74 yards in the overtime loss to the Jets last week. He leads the team in targets by nearly 20 on the year, and though he is not going to win many fantasy games by himself, he is one of the few tight ends who has been productive in almost every game this season. He continues his slow climb up the list, to 14th this week.
As Watson continues his climb, the opposite can be said about Philadelphia tight end Brent Celek, who has become practically irrelevant in the Eagles’ passing game. Celek was considered almost a consensus top-five tight end going into the year, but he has not been anywhere near that for his fantasy owners.
Celek has caught just four passes for 16 yards in his last three games combined—this comes during the hottest streak in Mike Vick’s career. If he isn’t scoring now, why should we assume he will again this year? It’s safe to drop him now.
