One of the biggest movers this week was Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, who has now caught 9 and 10 passes respectively in the two weeks since Jon Kitna took over as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.
Many experts criticized Tony Romo in the past for staring down the star tight end, but it looks like Jon Kitna might actually be doing more of that than Romo ever did.
While the Cowboys offense is likely to be mediocre down the stretch, Jason Witten’s fantasy value is actually on the rise.
Indianapolis Colts tight end Jacob Tamme was added to the list for the first time this week and shoots all the way up to 12th in his debut.
The rookie tight end caught six passes for 64 yards and a touchdown as he replaced Dallas Clark in the high-powered Colts offense.
Don’t expect that kind of performance every week, but it’s good to see that the Colts haven’t completely lost track of the tight end position in fantasy football.
This biggest faller this week is Seattle Seahawks tight end John Carlson who drops six spots this week down to 17th among tight ends.
Carlson has only seven passes in his past four games combined and hasn’t caught a touchdown pass since Week 3.
He is being asked to block significantly more now in this offense due to the lack of offensive line depth, and it’s hurting his fantasy numbers considerably.
