NFL Power Rankings: Which Teams Form League's Basement?
We're only two weeks into the 2011 NFL season and already three teams have placed themselves solidly below everyone else in the league. The crazy part is that all three squads were playoff teams a season ago.
Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)
The Kansas City Chiefs have been horrendous to open the season. They have dropped their first two games by a combined score of 89-10 and have shown absolutely no life on either side of the ball. In addition to that, the Chiefs have lost arguably their two best players for the season, as safety Eric Berry and running back Jamaal Charles are both out for the season with torn ACLs.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Through two games, quarterback Matt Cassel has the NFL's second-worst quarterback rating (50.4), and his 4.35 yards-per-attempt average is last in the league. Kansas City's offense as a whole has been terrible, as it has averaged just 240 yards per game (30th in the NFL). The defense has been almost as bad, surrendering 387.5 yards per game (24th in the NFL).
The Chiefs have been dealt an awful hand with the injuries to Berry and Charles, but in back-to-back weeks they have been blown out by the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. Kansas City was blown off the field in each game, and things don't look like they'll get better any time soon.
Indianapolis Colts (0-2)
Without Peyton Manning, the Indianapolis Colts have looked awful. In Week 1, the Houston Texans blew the Colts away 34-7, and the Cleveland Browns snuck by Indianapolis 27-19 this past Sunday.
Offensively, the Colts have looked completely lost with Kerry Collins under-center. Indianapolis is currently 29th in the NFL, averaging 260.5 yards per game. As a team that has always won with offense, that's troubling. Unless the Colts figure out something to get themselves going offensively, they will remain at the bottom of the NFL.
Seattle Seahawks (0-2)
What is going on in Seattle? We all knew the Seahawks weren't very good when they eeked out a playoff spot with a 7-9 record last year, but I mean, wow. This season, Seattle is 0-2 after losing 33-17 to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and then getting shut out by the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-0 in Week 2.
With Tarvaris Jackson leading the way, the Seahawks' offense ranks dead last in the NFL averaging just 191.5 yards per game. Additionally, Jackson's 80.1 quarterback rating places him 25th in the league.
Defensively, Seattle hasn't looked terrible. The Seahawks are giving up just 315 yards per game (10th in the NFL), but you can't win if you can't score and the offense hasn't proven it can do that. Until it does, the Seahawks are going to remain at the bottom of the league.
