Predicting Chad Ochocinco's Game-by-Game Stats for the New England Patriots
It's official. Bill Belichick and Chad Ochocinco have finally teamed up after years of admiration for each other.
Now that the 33-year-old wide receiver is a member of the New England Patriots, many will expect stellar numbers out of him.
Ochocinco is now joining Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Deion Branch, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez to create arguably the league's most prolific passing attack.
Here are my predicted game-by-game stats for Ochocinco's first year as a Patriot.

Week 1: Monday, Sept. 12 at Dolphins (7 p.m.)
1 of 18Predicted stats: Nine receptions for 100 yards and one touchdown.
Consider this Chad Ochocinco's coming out party.
There's no surprise that Ochocinco is an extremely competitive human being and that he absolutely loves to have the spotlight on him.
Despite the Miami Dolphin's having a solid defensive backfield, Ochocinco will compete at a whole new level during his first game as a Patriot.
Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 18 vs. Chargers (4:15 p.m.)
2 of 18Predicted stats: Three receptions for 40 yards.
Nothing special here for Chad Ochocinco against the San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers are one of the better defenses in the NFL, and New England's offense will have its share of troubles.
Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 25 at Bills (1 p.m.)
3 of 18Predicted stats: Five receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown.
It's almost a guarantee that the Patriots are going to run up and down the field when they play against the Buffalo Bills.
New England will score many touchdowns in this one, including one thrown to Ochocinco.
Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 2 at Raiders (4:15 p.m.)
4 of 18Predicted stats: Seven receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown.
The Oakland Raiders could be a team on the rise in 2011, but their pass defense is taking a major hit with the departure of Nnamdi Asomugha.
Chad Ochocinco will fare very well against an inexperienced Raider defense.
Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 9 vs. Jets (4:15 p.m.)
5 of 18Predicted stats: Two receptions for 20 yards.
Ochocinco vs. Revis. It's almost a guaranteed that Revis will win every time.
I'm sorry, Chad and everyone else in Patriot Nation, but Ochocinco is no match for Revis.
However, that does not mean the Patriots will the lose the game.
Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 16 vs. Cowboys (4:15 p.m.)
6 of 18Predicted stats: Four receptions for 60 yards.
Following a poor performance against Darrelle Revis and the New York Jets, Chad Ochocinco should bounce back fine against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ochocinco will rise to the occasion.
Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 23: BYE
7 of 18Predicted stats to date: 30 receptions for 410 yards and three touchdowns.
So far, Chad Ochocinco's stats have been definitely impressive with a couple big-time performances.
Ochocinco and the Patriots will need some much needed rest as they prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.
Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 30 at Steelers (4:15 p.m.)
8 of 18Predicted stats: Three receptions for 35 yards.
This is going to be a tough battle for Chad Ochocinco and the Patriots.
Ochocinco will struggle to get open against Pittsburgh's tough defense.
Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 6 vs. Giants (4:15 p.m.)
9 of 18Predicted stats: Five receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
Don't you think that the Patriots are going to have revenge on their minds when they take on the New York Giants?
The Patriots are going to do whatever it takes to torch the Giants, and I'm expecting Ochocinco to be involved greatly in this battle.
Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 13 at Jets (8:20 p.m.)
10 of 18Predicted stats: Three receptions for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Darrelle Revis can only contain Chad Ochocinco for so long. In this one, Ochocinco will finally prevail and perform at a quality level against Revis.
Week 11: Monday, Nov. 21 vs. Chiefs (8:30 p.m.)
11 of 18Predicted stats: Two receptions for 30 yards.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a young, athletic defense that's on the rise and will have a good shot at containing Ochocinco.
Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 27 at Eagles (4:15 p.m.)
12 of 18Predicted stats: 11 receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown.
Eagles vs. Patriots is going to be a battle for the ages.
Two of the league's top offenses will likely go up and down the field against each other, and Chad Ochocinco is going to have a huge game in this one.
Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 4 vs. Colts (8:20 p.m.)
13 of 18Predicted stats: Four receptions for 70 yards.
This will be Chad Ochocinco's first time in the Brady vs. Manning Bowl.
As usual, Brady and Manning will square off and put up huge numbers, and it's safe to expect that Ochocinco will have a solid game due to New England likely having to pass often.
Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 11 at Redskins (1 p.m.)
14 of 18Predicted stats: Six receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown.
There is no chance that the Redskins are going to be able to contain New England's high-powered offense.
Tom Brady, Chad Ochocinco and New England's offense are simply going to spank the Redskins.
Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 18 at Broncos (4:15 p.m.)
15 of 18Predicted stats: Six receptions for 30 yards.
The Denver Broncos are not going to be a good football team in 2011, and the Patriots should absolutely man-handle them.
Expect Chad Ochocinco's numbers to be solid in this one.
Week 16: Saturday, Dec. 24 vs. Dolphins (1 p.m.)
16 of 18Predicted stats: Three receptions for 30 yards.
As the Patriots gear up for the playoffs, players like Chad Ochocinco are running in stride.
Ochocinco and New England's offense should be on a roll at this point, and they will likely tear up Miami's defense.
Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 1 vs. Bills (1 p.m.)
17 of 18Predicted stats: Three receptions for 20 yards and one touchdown.
I am assuming that the Patriots will already have clinched a playoff spot at this time and that they're going to be resting their starters in this one.
However, in the time that the starters do play, Chad Ochocinco is going to shred Buffalo's secondary.
Conclusion: Chad Ochocinco's First Year in New England Is a Success
18 of 18Predicted 2011 final stats: 76 receptions for 945 yards and nine touchdowns.
Chad Ochocinco should emerge as New England's all-around wide receiver and Tom Brady's go-to man.
Ochocinco can run every single route to perfection and is able to turn a small play into a big play.
He should be a major difference maker for New England in 2011.
