Tim Tebow: What Products Should the Denver Broncos QB Endorse?

Adam OdekirkApr 20, 2011

Tim Tebow is a very eligible bachelor when it comes to product endorsements. His plate is far from full when it comes to advertising as compared to the likes of Peyton Manning

Recently, Tebow made his first appearance in a Jockey ad to mixed reviews, but there is no doubt that the Broncos quarterback is a valuable commodity with national appeal. That being said, the question on everybody's mind has to be: What is next for Tim?

There are a million different choices, but maybe the best way to narrow them down is to look at them in groups and also distinguish between local opportunities in Denver and national campaigns.

FOOD

Local - Blackjack Pizza

Tebow would follow in the footsteps of Rod Smith and Chauncey Billups in the low budget but always charming pizza delivery chain's commercials.

Actually, being chosen as the Blackjack Pizza pitchman is a pretty high honor in Denver and some might say that Tebow hasn't done enough to earn it.

However, if all goes to plan, then Blackjack might have locked up a spokesperson for much longer then the previous two were able to last.

National - Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is always looking for a way to keep themselves in the national spotlight, and a player like Tebow might help them reintroduce themselves a family-friendly destination that is perfect for visiting after watching the big games on Sundays.

CARS

Local - Medved Autoplex

Anyone who has watched the ESPN documentary about Tim Tebow preparing for the NFL draft saw him hop out of the car and push it down the street as part of his training.

Why not create a commercial urging customers to have Denver's own QB "Push, Pull or Drag" their car to Medved?

National - Ford

Ford is about as All-American as cars go in this country and Tim Tebow would probably be okay with being labeled as "Built Ford Tough" as well.

These two can really help each other out by giving Tebow a solid national platform to help grow his brand and image.

ANIMALS

Local - Denver Dumb Friends League

It's no secret that Tim Tebow has a solid fan base amongst women and children; showing how much he cares for animals would help grow that fan base, as well as help out a wonderful Colorado organization.

Appearances at events and television spots should create a boon for adoptions and donations for the DDFL.

National - ASPCA

If the local spots would give a boost to his image in the women and children demographic then think of what a national campaign with the ASPCA could do.

Tebow probably doesn't need a whole lot of help provided that his career actually takes off at some point on the field, but a pitchman like Tebow could do wonders for such generous organization.

JEWELRY

Local - Trice Jewelers

Does anyone else in Denver think that it's weird to have Mike Shanahan still pushing diamonds in Denver on the radio?

Time for an update, Trice, and the alliteration rolls of the tongue quite well: "Tim Tebow for Trice."

National - Tagheuer

Citizen has Eli Manning, and Tagheuer should be looking to keep pace. This is a high-quality brand who has worked with the likes of Tiger Woods, but in light of Tiger's recent trouble, the foreign watchmaker might be looking for a safer bet on the image front.

There are many different options for Tim Tebow, some of which he can take advantage of now and others that might be better suited for after his playing time increases and he has solidified his starting status.

In the end, there were a lot of ideas that were left on the cutting room floor, but that is why the comment section is here.

So, fans of Tebow, throw some more great ideas out there, and detractors of Tim, go ahead with the downright funny and insane ideas as well. All are welcome!
