Fantasy Football Week 14: Sunday Morning Game-Day Preview
Week 14 is the beginning of the fantasy football playoffs for most leagues, and it continues with a 14-game slate Sunday.
Looking back at Thursday Night Football, hopefully you didn't start Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr—he posted a dud. However, if you started Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce or wide receiver Tyreek Hill, you're in good shape.
There are a few quality matchups this weekend, too, highlighted by the Dallas Cowboys on the road against the New York Giants. That should be an entertaining game to watch.
But hey, most importantly, this Sunday is the midseason finale of The Walking Dead. That should be action-packed.
Now it's time for a value/sleeper play this week in daily fantasy:
- QB: Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
- RB: Chris Ivory, Jacksonville Jaguars
- WR: Kenny Stills, Miami Dolphins
- TE: C.J. Fiedorowicz, Houston Texans
Man, am I excited for Stills this week. He has such a juicy matchup.
Here we go—I broke down all 14 games including picks against the spread and fixtures and sleepers for each team.
Survive and advance this week!
Fantasy Football Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills
1 of 14
Game Preview
One of the stories of the year has been Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on the road. To cut to the chase, he's been terrible, except in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins.
For the first time since Week 2, the Buffalo Bills (6-6) will have both Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins lined up at wide receiver. The receiving depth for the Bills seems to be replenishing finally.
Both teams are on the outside looking in when it comes to the AFC playoff picture. With a Steelers win and a Baltimore Ravens loss in New England, Pittsburgh will assume first place in the AFC North.
Meanwhile, the Bills are in third place in a tough AFC East.
Buffalo is a three-point home underdog.
Prediction: Bills 24, Steelers 21.
Injury Updates
None of note for either team.
Fantasy Fixtures
Steelers
The two most obvious: running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown. Need I say more?
Bills
Running back LeSean McCoy will continue to see a high volume of work, especially since I predict a Bills victory. While teammate Mike Gillislee may take a few red-zone touches away from Shady, McCoy leads the league in runs of 15 or more yards with 17.
The Steelers struggle against No. 1 wide receivers, ranking 28th in DVOA against them, per Football Outsiders. Although Watkins has been dealing with foot issues, his talent outweighs that of any Steelers cornerback. This could be his biggest game of the season (there haven't been many).
Sleepers and Streamers
Steelers
Tight end Ladarius Green saw an uptick in snaps in Week 13 and paid huge dividends. With the lack of receiving depth on the Steelers, Green is behind only Brown and Bell in the passing game.
Bills
As mentioned before, Gillislee is getting red-zone touches. For DFS purposes, he'll be tough to trust, but in season-long leagues, he's worthy of flex consideration.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans
2 of 14
Game Preview
This is another pivotal game when it comes to the AFC playoff picture.
The Denver Broncos (8-4) are clinging onto the sixth seed in the AFC, while the Tennessee Titans (6-6) have the same record as the AFC South-leading Houston Texans. However, the Texans play the Indianapolis Colts this week and will be ahead of the Titans no matter who the outcome.
For the Titans to make the postseason, they need to win (duh). And that starts in Week 14. Week 17 against the Texans could determine the AFC South winner.
One of the biggest question marks is whether Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian will play; according to Mike Klis of 9 News Denver, Siemian is set to start. However, should he sit, the Broncos will go with rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch for the second week in a row—he was, well, not good in Week 13 at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Titans are a two-point home favorite.
Prediction: Titans 17, Broncos 13.
Injury Updates
Broncos
As noted above, Siemian (foot) should suit up in Week 14.
Titans
None.
Fantasy Fixtures
Broncos
Siemian's playing status is a big variable when it comes to evaluating wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders' fantasy value.
Should Siemian play, Sanders will get a lot of targets—he's had no less than eight in a game since Week 7. If Lynch plays, Sanders will still get the targets (eight in Week 13), but getting the ball to the wideout is the biggest question mark.
Titans
The Broncos have not been nearly as good against the run as they were in 2015. Not only do they rank 26th in DVOA against the run, but they also rank 18th in DVOA against receiving backs.
You see what I'm getting at here—running back DeMarco Murray.
The Broncos can shut down the pass, but Murray should get plenty of work and be productive in Week 14.
Sleepers and Streamers
Broncos
Hopefully it doesn't come to this for your team, but running back Justin Forsett is a deep sleeper for the Broncos. With Forsett possibly being set to split carries with Devontae Booker, it's apparent he'll get some work.
Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post reported that Forsett understands "99 percent" of the offense and likened it to the system he and Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak had during their time in Baltimore.
Titans
Quarterback Marcus Mariota has been on a hot streak lately but draws a difficult matchup. What wins here—hot streak or the matchup?
Fantasy Football Week 14: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles
3 of 14
Game Preview
The "lesser" of the two NFC East matchups in Week 14 will take place in Philadelphia with the Washington Redskins (6-5-1) taking on the Philadelphia Eagles (5-7).
Both teams are on the outside looking in at the NFC East playoff picture, and it might be a tough hill to climb.
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has been playing well lately, but will that carry over against the Eagles defense?
At home, the Eagles are a two-point home underdog.
Prediction: Redskins 27, Eagles 21.
Injury Updates
Redskins
Tight end Jordan Reed is questionable with a shoulder injury, but it sounds like he has a shot at playing.
Eagles
Wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham (abdominal) is questionable for Week 14 and hasn't practiced all week.
Running back Ryan Mathews (knee) is also questionable. However, he returned to practice this week and should suit up.
Fantasy Fixtures
Redskins
Five touchdowns in his last seven games. Four in his last five. That describes wide receiver Jamison Crowder. He's scorching hot right now and should see some time against a beatable Malcolm Jenkins in the slot.
If he suits up, Reed is just a monster. Play him if he is available.
Eagles
Earlier this year, Jordan Matthews had 75 yards receiving on three catches against the Redskins. In the slot, he should draw coverage from Kendall Fuller, who ranks 99th in coverage out of 123 corners, according to Pro Football Focus.
Sleepers and Streamers
Redskins
The Eagles may have a good defense, but their secondary is beatable. Both Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson could be in for good games. This game has a total of 46.5, so there should be room for production from multiple players.
Eagles
I'm considering him a sleeper/streamer with the return of Matthews, but Zach Ertz has been one of the best fantasy tight ends recently, coming in as the TE2 over the last five games. In those five games, he is averaging nearly nine targets per game. Again, this may be a lame sleeper/streamer pick, but with Matthews back, Ertz could have a tougher path to production.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Arizona Cardinals at Miami Dolphins
4 of 14
Game Preview
This is an interesting matchup.
One could argue that the best players on the Arizona Cardinals (5-6-1) and Miami Dolphins (7-5) are David Johnson and Jay Ajayi, respectively.
Both teams also have solid slot receivers in Larry Fitzgerald for the Cardinals and Jarvis Landry for the Dolphins.
The Cardinals have been tough defensively this year, ranking third in DVOA against the pass and 11th against the run, while the Dolphins rank 13th and 22nd, respectively.
The Dolphins are a two-point home underdog. The Cardinals defense will be too tough in the end, though.
Prediction: Cardinals 27, Dolphins 17.
Injury Updates
Cardinals
Wide receiver John Brown (illness) is questionable. This may have to do with his sickle-cell trait. He should play after practicing this week, though.
Dolphins
None.
Fantasy Fixtures
Cardinals
Like the Pittsburgh Steelers in an earlier slide, there are two no-brainers here: Fitzgerald and DJohn.
Dolphins
This too, is interesting. It's unclear who Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson will cover most often, but I'm assuming it will be primarily against Dolphins deep threat DeVante Parker.
As a result, Landry could see coverage against Cardinals cornerback Tyvon Branch, who's fresh off injured reserve. Landry should see plenty of targets over the middle of the field if Peterson shuts down Parker.
Sleepers and Streamers
Cardinals
With wide receiver John Brown's status up in the air, J.J. Nelson could see more run. While Dolphins cornerbacks Byron Maxwell and Tony Lippett have been playing well, Nelson's speed could help him win a one-on-one matchup.
Dolphins
This has a great chance to be Kenny Stills game. With Branch in the slot and Peterson against Parker, Stills will draw coverage against Marcus Cooper, who is one of the eight worst corners in the league, according to PFF.
Stills has averaged more than 6.5 targets per game over his last three games. He makes for a great DFS play this week, too.
Fantasy Football Week 14: San Diego Chargers at Carolina Panthers
5 of 14
Game Preview
I'm not sure how to feel about this matchup.
Record-wise, the Carolina Panthers (4-8) and the San Diego Chargers (5-7) are close, but when you consider their respective conferences, the Chargers have a better shot of reaching the postseason.
However, the Chargers will face a Panthers team on the road that will be without linebacker Luke Kuechly again, and we all know the state of Carolina's secondary.
The Panthers just don't have anything going for them, even though they are a one-point home favorite. This one will be razor-thin.
Prediction: Chargers 24, Panthers 23.
Injury Updates
None of note for either team.
Fantasy Fixtures
Chargers
Regardless of matchup, it's impossible to sit Melvin Gordon—he's one of the best fantasy backs this season.
Quarterback Philip Rivers should have a big game against this secondary. He is one of the better quarterbacks in the league and has myriad options to throw to. Start him.
With Rivers being a fixture, it's only natural that his No. 1 receiver, Tyrell Williams, be a fixture too. He should have a field day against Panthers cornerback Daryl Worley.
Panthers
None. I tried to pick someone, but I'm just not interested in any of Carolina's players. Quarterback Cam Newton is due for a nice output game sometime, but it's going to be tough to pick.
Sleepers and Streamers
Chargers
Either tight end, Antonio Gates or Hunter Henry, are in a good spot against a linebacker corps without Kuechly. Also, the Panthers rank 22nd in DVOA against tight ends.
Wide receiver Dontrelle Inman has a plus matchup against cornerback Leonard Johnson. If you're wondering who Leonard Johnson is, that's nothing to be ashamed of—he's one of the worst corners in the sport, according to PFF. Also, quarterbacks who throw in the direction of Johnson have a 92.7 quarterback rating.
Panthers
None.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
6 of 14
Game Preview
The Cleveland Browns (0-12) are already eliminated from postseason contention, but nobody expected them to be anywhere near the playoffs anyway.
The Cincinnati Bengals (4-7-1), have been surprising this season. Surprisingly bad.
One of the biggest storylines heading into Week 14, though, is the return of Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III, who will get the start.
RG3 gives the Browns their best chance to win, but the Bengals should take this one, with the Browns being 5.5-point home underdogs.
Prediction: Bengals 27, Browns 17.
Injury Updates
Bengals
Wide receiver A.J. Green is out with his hamstring injury.
Browns
None.
Fantasy Fixtures
Bengals
Tight end Tyler Eifert should have his way with the Browns defense—I mean, everyone should. But with Green out, Eifert is quarterback Andy Dalton's No. 1 pass-catcher.
Speaking of Dalton, he should be in for a stellar week. The Browns rank 31st in DVOA against the pass. Three touchdowns? Why not.
Running back Jeremy Hill has been getting more work in the passing game with fellow running back Gio Bernard out for the season. Couple his increased work in the passing game with his running ability against one of the worst run defenses in the league and Hill should put up, at a minimum, a top-20 running back day.
Browns
Wide receiver Terrelle Pryor Sr. gets a ton of targets every week and now has his best quarterback play of the season this week. Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is not threatening whatsoever.
Sleepers and Streamers
Bengals
Wide receivers Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd are both in good spots against Joe Haden and Tramon Williams, respectively. The name appeal of Haden is somewhat scary, but he has not been himself this season. Out of the slot, Boyd should take care of business in his matchup.
Browns
RG3 is always intriguing, especially when you factor in his ability to run. The Bengals rank 17th and 20th against the pass and run, respectively, so they haven't been all that threatening on defense this season.
With RG3 back, burner Corey Coleman has his best shot at a breakout performance this week, albeit against Bengals cornerback Adam Jones.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
7 of 14
Game Preview
The Chicago Bears (3-9) are all but officially eliminated from playoff contention in the NFC.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions (8-4) have a commanding lead in the NFC North and should hold onto that lead for the rest of the season.
The Bears rank toward the middle of the pack against the pass (15th in DVOA) and 21st against the run, per Football Outsiders. It's a good thing the Lions don't really have a running game.
With a Lions win and Seattle Seahawks loss, Detroit will be the new No. 2 seed in the NFC. Can you believe that?
Injury Updates
Bears
None.
Lions
There are four injuries of note:
- Running back Dwayne Washington (ankle) is questionable.
- Running back Theo Riddick (wrist) is questionable.
- Wide receiver Marvin Jones (quad) is questionable.
- Tight end Eric Ebron (knee) is questionable.
All four of these guys should suit up this week, though.
Fantasy Fixtures
Bears
With the Lions ranking 25th in DVOA against the run and coming off a three-touchdown performance, running back Jordan Howard is a beast. Remember that earlier this season Howard ran for 111 yards on 23 carries against the Lions.
Lions
The Bears aren't that great against the run, but the Lions running game has been fairly mediocre this season, with Theo Riddick being the team's leading rusher with 358 yards. He is one of the best pass-catching backs in the league. He's hard to sit this week, especially if you're in a points-per-reception league.
Sleepers and Streamers
Bears
Tight end Daniel Brown has been one of Bears quarterback Matt Barkley's favorite targets during his stint as starter, and it just so happens that the Lions are horrid against tight ends—they rank 32nd in DVOA against them. Hopefully, you're not in a position where you'll need to start Brown, but he's a deep sleeper option.
Lions
Sticking with tight ends here, Ebron faces a Bears defense that ranks 25th in DVOA against tight ends. Minus his goose egg on Thanksgiving, he has not seen fewer than five targets in a game this season.
Wide receiver Marvin Jones has had a dismal season since Week 3. Missing Week 13 might have, ironically, done Jones some good, though—it gave him a chance to get healthy. In his last game against the Bears, Jones saw seven targets, catching five of them for 74 yards. Will he score his first touchdown since Week 6?
Fantasy Football Week 14: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
8 of 14
Game Preview
This might be a brutal game to watch, but it will decide the AFC South division leader. Both the Houston Texans (6-6) and Indianapolis Colts (6-6) have the same record, and it's no coincidence that these teams both meet in the final month of the season.
After a 26-23 overtime loss against the Texans earlier this season, the Colts need to win this game in order to be in the driver's seat for the remaining three games.
This time at home, the Colts are a 6.5-point favorite. I know the Texans quarterback stinks, but the Colts aren't that great, either.
Prediction: Colts 28, Texans 23.
Injury Updates
Texans
Wide receiver Jaelen Strong has been placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
Colts
None.
Fantasy Fixtures
Texans
If he suits up, running back Lamar Miller has a date with the second-worst defense against the run when it comes to DVOA. However, it's understandable if you're skeptical of Miller—he's been hit-and-miss this season, averaging four yards per carry.
Colts
Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton against Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson is a winnable matchup for Hilton. When these two teams met earlier this season, Hilton didn't go up against Jackson and saw seven targets. He's quarterback Andrew Luck's go-to option and should find the end zone this week.
Sleepers and Streamers
Texans
Tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz is averaging eight targets per game over his last three, and since quarterback Brock Osweiler is afraid to throw the ball more than 10 feet downfield, Fiedorowicz will benefit.
Colts
Please don't make me pick one.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars
9 of 14
Game Preview
Yikes. What a fall the Minnesota Vikings (6-6) have experienced. They started off 5-0 and have since dropped six of their last seven. There's good news for them, though: They face the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) and quarterback Blake Bortles, who is unable to read Cover 2 defense.
Here is some more good news: Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, after his fourth eye surgery, is set to fly to Jacksonville and coach the team.
This is also a battle between two quarterbacks whose NFL careers are trending downward.
The Vikings have a chance to make the playoffs, while the Jaguars have already been eliminated from contention.
The Jaguars are three-point home dogs.
Prediction: Vikings 24, Jaguars 17.
Injury Updates
Vikings
None.
Jaguars
Tight end Julius Thomas has been placed on injured reserve with a back injury.
Fantasy Fixtures
Vikings
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs will see plenty of targets and is a PPR machine. He's had seven or more targets in every game this season except Week 7, where he saw five. The Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey doesn't scare me in this spot. Start Diggs.
Jaguars
This is a tough matchup across the board for the Jaguars' skill position players. No thanks.
Sleepers and Streamers
Vikings
Wide receiver Adam Thielen will go up against cornerback Prince Amukamara and should see some looks against Davon House. It's tough to trust more than one pass-catching option when it comes to the Vikings receiving game, but Thielen is in a decent spot. So is fellow wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
Jaguars
Running back Chris Ivory, surprisingly.
Believe it or not, over the last five games, the Vikings have given up 118 rushing yards per game. As of late, they've been beatable. This is a spot where you shouldn't sit Ivory for another middle-of-the-road running back. Ivory should also be low-owned in DFS, too.
Fantasy Football Week 14: New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers
10 of 14
Game Preview
You couldn't pay me to watch this game. Both the New York Jets (3-9) and San Francisco 49ers (1-11) are eliminated from postseason contention and are in evaluation mode.
For the Jets, Bryce Petty will get the start at quarterback for the remainder of the season.
The 49ers are a three-point home favorite and should win their second game of the season.
Prediction: 49ers 17, Jets 12.
Injury Updates
None of note for either team.
Fantasy Fixtures
Jets
You're kidding me, right?
49ers
You're kidding me, right?
Sleepers and Streamers
Jets
In his lone start of the season in Week 10, Petty scored just nine fantasy points, throwing one touchdown to running back Bilal Powell. That's about the lone sleeper option I could find for the Jets. Of course, Powell adds extra value in PPR leagues.
49ers
Tight end Vance McDonald just signed a five-year, $35 million extension, cementing his place as the top pass-catcher for the 49ers offense. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick should target him heavily, but don't be afraid to just stay away from this game.
Fantasy Football Week 14: New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11 of 14
Game Preview
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5) have been on a hot streak lately, winning tough matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. They'll look to carry over that success against the division rival New Orleans Saints (5-7).
With a win over the Saints in Week 14, the Buccaneers should hold their spot atop the NFC South standings.
This will be the first of their two matchups over the next three weeks.
At home, the Bucs are a two-point home favorite. This has the makings of a Bucs win.
Prediction: Buccaneers 28, Saints 25.
Injury Updates
Saints
None.
Buccaneers
Wide receiver Adam Humphries (concussion) is out.
Fantasy Fixtures
Saints
The Buccaneers have struggled against the run and have given up nearly 110 rushing yards per game over their last three. Also, they rank 27th in DVOA against pass-catching running backs. Mark Ingram has three games this season of five targets or more. He's a definite RB2 this week.
Wide receiver Michael Thomas has been quarterback Drew Brees' top target. Even with the Bucs defense playing better lately, Thomas has the edge against Tampa Bay corner Alterraun Verner.
Buccaneers
Wide receiver Mike Evans. Because, well, you know...he's good at football and all.
Quarterback Jameis Winston faces a Saints defense that not only ranks 26th in DVOA against the pass but is known for being a horrible defense. He has a bevy of options at his disposal and should have quite the fantasy day.
Sleepers and Streamers
Saints
Wide receiver Willie Snead was a favorite of mine in Week 13, but that didn't amount to what I had hoped. This week he goes up against Vernon Hargreaves, who ranks 108th out of 123 cornerbacks in terms of coverage.
Buccaneers
Based on Florida Football Insiders' Roy Cummings' report that running back Jacquizz Rodgers is set to get carries early and often, it's easy to have some interest in him. Since his Week 10 return, running back Doug Martin has topped three yards per carry in just one game, though he's scored twice.
Rodgers, if he gets the expected carries, could get hot early.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Rams
12 of 14
Game Preview
The Atlanta Falcons (7-5) could be without wide receiver Julio Jones this week with a turf toe injury. They are also set to be without wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. Even if Jones is active, he could be nothing more than a decoy.
The Los Angeles Rams (4-8), will have another week with rookie quarterback Jared Goff at the helm. This will be his second game at home this season. To start his NFL career, Goff is 0-3, and I don't see that improving to 1-3 this week.
With Sanu out and Jones as a decoy, the Falcons will be fairly limited on offense, though.
At home, the Rams are a 5.5-point home dog.
Prediction: Falcons 24, Rams 13.
Injury Updates
Falcons
Wide receiver Mohamed Sanu (groin) is out for Week 14.
Jones (toe) is questionable with turf toe. He's considered a game-time decision, and even if he plays, he could be nothing more than a decoy.
Rams
None of note.
Fantasy Fixtures
Falcons
Running back Devonta Freeman should see a ton of work with Sanu out and Jones being limited at best. He should also see extended work in the passing game.
For Jones, he's hard to peg. In a decoy role, it's tough to trust him. I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I'd sit him.
Rams
If there is any week for running back Todd Gurley to break out, it's this one. The Falcons rank 27th in DVOA against the run. Even if the Rams are down big, they'll still give the ball to Gurley. Play him. This is his week (I think)!
Sleepers and Streamers
Falcons
It's hard to ignore wide receiver Taylor Gabriel. He should be the focal point of the passing attack.
While he won't be the focal point, running back Tevin Coleman should still see double-digit touches in this one, given the injuries to Sanu and Jones. Maybe he'll vulture a touchdown?
Rams
Wide receiver Kenny Britt is Goff's favorite target, scoring touchdowns in back-to-back games. He's also averaging just less than eight targets per game during Goff's three starts. And oh, if you haven't heard, the Falcons are 26th in DVOA against opposing No. 1 wide receivers. In garbage time or not, Britt could score.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers
13 of 14
Game Preview
These two teams know each other all too well. From failed onside kicks to Fail Mary's, it's always a fun time to watch the Seattle Seahawks (8-3-1) and the Green Bay Packers (6-6) face off.
The Packers have been playing worse this season, and their wide receivers have had trouble creating separation. Not to mention the secondary has been a wasteland.
In Seattle's first game this season without safety Earl Thomas, it will be interesting to see if Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers takes more shots downfield against Steven Terrell.
On the road, the Seahawks are a 2.5-point road favorite.
Give me the Seahawks—quarterback Russell Wilson will be the top QB this week.
Prediction: Seahawks 28, Packers 24.
Injury Updates
None of note for either team.
Fantasy Fixtures
Seahawks
As mentioned previously, Wilson is my top quarterback option this week. Between his ability to scramble and the Packers surrendering nearly 275 yards passing per game, Wilson should have no trouble putting up fantasy points.
The Packers secondary stinks, man. Don't over think this.
With Wilson being my top quarterback, it's only natural that his No. 1 wide receiver is a must-start. Doug Baldwin will go up against Packers cornerback Micah Hyde, who ranks as PFF's 89th "best" cornerback. Baldwin should have a day.
Packers
Wide receiver Randall Cobb has a beatable matchup against Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane. With fellow Seahawks corner Richard Sherman on Jordy Nelson, Cobb should have plenty of opportunities over the middle of the field to rack up receptions.
As Matt Harmon of NFL.com noted, opposing teams post a quarterback rating of less than 60 on passes traveling 20 or more yards downfield against the Seahawks. The Packers and Rodgers should score some points, and Cobb will be the beneficiary.
Sleepers and Streamers
Seahawks
Wide receiver Tyler Lockett will face a Packers secondary that ranks 32nd and 31st in DVOA against No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers, respectively. It's quite possible Lockett could catch a deep bomb against this secondary. I don't mind Lockett this week, although he's been a major disappointment this year.
Packers
No sleepers here. The running game stinks, so there's nothing to choose from in the backfield. And no, I'm not buying the Christine Michael revenge-game narrative.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
14 of 14
Game Preview
The only team to beat the Dallas Cowboys (11-1) this season has been the New York Giants (8-4). And what do you know? They square off this week on Sunday Night Football.
The Giants have a great defense this season, ranking seventh and fifth in DVOA against the pass and run, respectively.
Can the Giants shut down Cowboys rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott? It will be tough.
I'm looking forward to this one. It's the return of Giants running back Shane Vereen!
The Giants are 3.5-point home underdogs. Upset alert!
Prediction: Giants 24, Cowboys 21.
Injury Updates
Cowboys
None.
Giants
Vereen (triceps) has been activated off injured reserve.
Fantasy Fixtures
Cowboys
Zeke, no matter what.
Giants
You really need me to explain why you should start wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.?
Sleepers and Streamers
Cowboys
While the Giants have been great on defense this season, they do come up short against tight ends—they rank 27th in DVOA against the position. Jason Witten has been a difficult option to rely on, but the Cowboys might need to throw in this one.
Giants
The Cowboys also have a deficiency against tight ends, ranking 30th in DVOA. Not only that, but Giants tight end Will Tye is averaging five targets per game over his last five games. He'll be behind OBJ and Sterling Shepard in the pecking order, but a cheap score could happen.
Against the pass, the Cowboys rank 27th in DVOA, so Giants quarterback Eli Manning could have a quality game. In their first matchup, Manning had just 201 yards passing but rang up three touchdowns and one interception. You could do better at quarterback this week, but you could also do much worse.
