NFL Power Rankings: Making a Case for the League's Best Team
Is there really any question who the NFL's top team is right now?
The Green Bay Packers are 11-0 and riding a 17-game win streak that dates back to last season. Over that stretch they have won the Super Bowl and essentially annihilated every team in their path. They are clearly the best team in the NFL and it doesn't appear that will change anytime soon.
The Packers have the most efficient offense I've ever seen. Led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay is fourth in the NFL in total offense (401.3 yards per game), third in passing yards (304.1 per game) and is averaging a league-high 34.7 points per game.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Meanwhile, Rodgers is in the midst of the single greatest season for a quarterback in NFL history. Through 11 games the 27-year-old has completed 260 of 362 passes for 3,475 yards, with an NFL-best 33 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also leads the league in completion percentage (71.8), yards per attempt (9.60) and his passer rating of 127.7 is a ridiculous 22.6 points ahead of second-place (Tom Brady, 105.1).
Green Bay's defense has employed a bend but don't break strategy that has worked well so far. The Packers are allowing 393.4 yards per game (30th in the NFL), but are only giving up 20.6 points per game (tied for 13th). With how well their offense has played that is all the defense has to do.
Rodgers has an embarrassing wealth of playmakers at his disposal and that makes stopping Green Bay that much more difficult. So far this season, nine different Packers have caught 11 or more passes. Greg Jennings (58 catches), Jordy Nelson (44), Jermichael Finley (36), James Jones (24) and Donald Driver (23) are all capable receivers who have proven Rodgers can target them at any time.
On top of that James Starks has stepped up to be a force in the running game as he has gained 560 yards on 124 attempts, for an excellent 4.5 yards per carry average. Starks adds an extra dimension to an offense that could throw the ball successfully all the time if it wanted to.
As of now the Packers look absolutely unstoppable on offense and the defense has done more than enough to keep them undefeated. Until an opponent shows that Rodgers and company can be stopped, Green Bay will remain the best team in the NFL by a wide margin.
