Absolutely. I never bought the argument that Ty Simpson could serve as a high end back up for Stafford.
Maybe next year but not this year. But maybe they hold Stetson Bennett in high regard? Jimmy G is still out there. Need someone to potentially get you through 3 games.

It sounds counter-intuitive but the Rams should invest in a premium backup QB.
The hardest part towards the SB for them might be winning their division and losing Stafford for two games could already be catastrophical for that.
