Notre Dame quarterback C.J. Carr and Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who are each hoping to help their teams bounce back from missing the College Football Playoff last winter, are each preparing to make their season debuts.

Manning is playing Saturday against visiting Texas State before Carr makes his season debut Sunday against visiting Wisconsin.
