After the signing of veteran Willis McGahee, you had to expect that the Denver Broncos were going to release RB LenDale White.

According to Mike Klis of The Denver Post, White was released on Tuesday:

"The hometown kid never got a chance to play for the hometown team. The Broncos released running back LenDale White this morning."

Besides McGahee, Denver still has Knowshon Moreno, so it was a foregone conclusion that this would happen.

White now enters the free agent market, and although demand is not very high, he may still be able to contribute elsewhere.

Miami Dolphins

Other than the recently-acquired Reggie Bush, the Miami Dolphins don't have much to offer in the ground game.

They do have rookie Daniel Thomas, but LenDale does have the experience factor over him.

In addition, White could be used for goal-line and other short-yardage situations, as he and Thomas are roughly the same size.

Behind their big O-line, the Dolphins could have solid success running the ball inside the red-zone.

San Francisco 49ers

It was surprising to see Glen Coffee retire.

And after he did, Frank Gore was all San Fran had to rely on in the ground game.

Now, although he is a great back, we've learned that having two good RBs, in this day and age, is the more effective approach to winning championships.

White would be great for giving Gore a break, and could also help in blocking, as they only ranked No. 19 in average rush yards per game in 2010 (103.6).

Washington Redskins

They neglected to re-sign Clinton Portis, and have gotten rid of Donovan McNabb.

The Washington Redskins, whether Rex Grossman chooses to realize it or not, are in dire straits.

Bringing in White could only help as Mike Shanahan tries to rebuild one of the NFL's most historic franchises.

In turn, it gives LenDale another chance to redeem his career.

Detroit Lions

After rookie Mikel Leshoure went down for the season, Jahvid Best remains Detroit's only legitimate rushing threat.

Well, the addition of LenDale White would certainly take pressure off Best, as well as filling the role of Leshoure.

In turn, it gives the Detroit Lions a pound-the-rock Brahma Bull, while also allowing them to be able to change the tempo with Best.

However, if Best remains the sole back in The Motor City, it could end up being a disappointing season.

Cincinnati Bengals

Even with RB Cedric Benson somewhat reviving his career, the Cincinnati Bengals only managed 95.1 yards per game on the ground in 2010.

They finished ranked No. 27 in the league in that category.

Well, they now have some new faces in rookie QB Andy Dalton and rookie WR A.J. Green.

The passing game has potential, but with only one decently established RB, the run game could suffer once again.

But, if Cincy pursues LenDale White, that gives them two punishing backs, while opening up the aerial assault.

United Football League

The UFL has shrunk to four teams, so there is limited space in the NFL's feeder system (if you even want to call it that).

That being said, with his experience in the NFL, LenDale should be a shoe-in to the UFL, if he wants to swallow his pride.

Otherwise, he may end up out of job this season, as few teams will be interested.
