San Francisco 49ers: Updated 49ers NFL Free Agency Tracking and Offseason News
This was expected to be the most action-packed offseason week in NFL history. It hasn't disappointed, to say the least. There is so much breaking news that it seems impossible to track where free agents are heading, who's on the trade block and who is being let go.
Not to worry. I've organized a slideshow that will give you all of your most up-to date info on the 49ers' offseason moves exclusively.
Be sure to check back for up-to-date free agent signings, news and everything else 49ers, as I will be updating the slideshow as the action happens.

Nnamdi Asomugha Rumors
6 of 11There are countless reports of the 49ers pushing hard for Nnamdi Asomugha. Asomugha is the most coveted free agent in the draft, as he is an elite shutdown corner.
Asomugha has plenty of suitors, so luring him across the Bay to San Francisco won't be an easy task. The 49ers will have to fend off the Jets, Texans and others to bring in this year's free-agency prize.
A monster deal is a necessity, but if the 49ers part ways with Nate Clements, they should have the cap room to pull it off.
Frank Gore Holdout
7 of 11Frank Gore will reportedly holding out. Gore's productivity over the years could justify him wanting a better deal, but his injury prone ways could deter the 49ers from giving him the deal they want.
It's a huge blow to the team, as Anthony Dixon and rookie Kendall Hunter can't be expected to go into next season as the only viable backs. With free agency so deep at the running back position, there are other options for the 49ers if they can't figure out Gore's contract before the season begins.
Even so, Gore is a fan favorite and a Pro Bowl caliber running back. It would be a shame to see Gore hold out of camp, especially since a holdout on a shortened time table could linger into the season.

David Carr To Be Cut
9 of 11David Carr is set to be cut on Thursday. This comes as no surprise, as he proved to be unusable when Alex Smith went down last season.
Carr was the only quarterback under contract heading into next season.
All 10 Draft Picks Signed
10 of 11The 49ers won't be having another Michael Crabtree rookie contract situation in 2009. According to a Tweet from Matt Barrows, all ten picks have signed with the 49ers.
Nate Clements Doesn't Take Pay Cut
11 of 11As was expected, Nate Clements didn't choose to take a pay cut to remain on the 49ers. Adam Shefter Tweeted that Clements would not be returning to the team in 2011. This much was expected, as Clements underperformed relative to his contract.
