Kurt Warner Thinks St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford Will "Be a Superstar"

On the NFL Network's NFL Total Access show on July 19, former St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals great Kurt Warner made some strong and exciting comments regarding Rams quarterback Sam Bradford.

Of Bradford and the Rams, Warner said:

"I love Sam Bradford. I think he's going to be a superstar and I think the key for that team this year is the beginning of the schedule. First seven games are really tough. If they can just kinda find their way through it and win a couple of those games that people expect them not to win, I think you're right [speaking to Michael Lombardi regarding him selecting the Rams to win the NFC West]. In the NFC West they've got a chance to win that in the end."

Warner knows a thing or two about playing quarterback, after leading both the Rams (twice) and the Cardinals to Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams and their historic "Greatest Show on Turf" offense. That offense, the most prolific in NFL history over a three-year span, was led by the aforementioned Warner and the soon-to-be Hall of Fame inductee, Marshall Faulk. 

Rams fans hope Warner is right in his assessment of Bradford. If so, the youthful Rams could take a similar franchise path as the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning.

Manning arrived in 1998, and the Colts managed a meager three wins in his rookie campaign. However, the Colts made warp-speed improvements with Manning leading the way in 1999, rattling off 13 wins and turning the corner that year, starting a run of 10 or more wins per season in 11 of the last 12 seasons.
