NFL Free Agency 2011: The 5 Best Player Agents Around the League

Whenever the lockout ends, the NFL will go heavily into the free agency bidding war for some of the game's top players. These players are represented by agents who negotiate for them during the process, and ultimately are looking for the best that they can get for every one of their clients.

These agents range from outspoken guys like Drew Rosenhaus to more behind-the-scenes guys like Tom Condon. They are all very important though as the NFL landscape can change because of which teams impress the agent and the player the best.

In this article I'll be going over who I think are the top five player agents in the NFL right now.

Joe Segal

Segal has about as impressive a list of clients as anyone else on this list. He's the agent for such big-name guys as Michael Vick, Chris Johnson, Darren Sharper, Maurkice and Mike Pouncey, Randy Moss and Mark Ingram.

That's impressive to say the least.

Segal knows how to keep players out of trouble with the media while also getting the most money that he can for his client. If I were a player, he would be one of my top choices as an agent.

Leigh Steinberg

Steinberg has an impressive list of clients, such as Troy Aikman and Warren Moon, but I have him this list for another reason.

He is also the agent of Ben Roethlisberger. He helped "Big" Ben go through one of the most challenging time of his life last year with the alleged sexual assault in Midville, GA. In my opinion they did everything they could do to smooth things over and came out of the situation with a positive image.

To me, that means that Steinberg has to be one of the best agents around the league.

Ben Dogra

Dorga is co-head of CAA football and has a very nice set of clients that greatly increase his importance in free agency for this year and many years to come.

Among his clients are star player Mario Williams, Adrian Peterson, and Patrick Willis.

These guys at just the forefront of a very impressive total client list. Dorga not only makes a lot of money for his players, but also for himself.  

Tom Condon

Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, and LaDanian Tomlinson are just a few of the clients for the other co-head of CAA football.

That's a pretty strong collection of guys and they are just a few of the names that he is the agent for. 

Condon has been around the block and is one of the most influential and important person in football. Along with making his client list a lot of money, Condon has set up his family very well for the future.

You can be sure that he'll be around football for a long time. 

Drew Rosenhaus

Rosenhaus has over 100 NFL clients in guys like Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Jeremy Shockey, DeSean Jackson, and Frank Gore.

Rosenhaus is probably the most famous agent from a national perspective. He's always very outspoken with the media and will always back up his players, even it means making himself look bad.

He is also very successful though, and to me he is the top agent in the NFL and will likely be so for a very long time.
