NFL: 27 Trades We Would Most Like to See for Fantasy Football Purposes
Have you ever thought of potential blockbuster NFL trade proposals but figured that they'd never happen? I'm sure that we all have.
I can almost guarantee that most of us have hoped that maybe one day our favorite team would trade for someone like Larry Fitzgerald or Adrian Peterson. But let's be realistic—those trades are only a part of our fantasy.
Here are 27 trades that we'd love to see for fantasy football purposes.
Let me be clear. Maybe one or two of these trades could ever possibly happen, but the majority of these will only live in our fantasy worlds.

Larry Fitzgerald to the New England Patriots
1 of 27If this trade was to happen, the happiest member of Patriot nation would likely be Tom Brady.
Remember how good Brady was back in 2007, his first year with Randy Moss? Yeah, now maybe multiply those stats by five—that's how good Brady's stats would be, not to mention Larry Fitzgerald's.
Shonn Greene to the Dallas Cowboys
2 of 27During Shonn Greene's two seasons in the NFL, he's had to split the workload with another back. However, when Greene got his touches, most of the time he was very effective.
The Dallas Cowboys may have a quality group of running backs, but Greene would likely emerge as the top back due to the inconsistency from Marion Barber and Felix Jones.
Greene would only benefit in Dallas' offense led by Tony Romo, as he'd be an afterthought with the opposing defense trying to contain Romo.
Reggie Bush to the Green Bay Packers
3 of 27Reggie Bush is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in all of football and could be extremely effective if used correctly.
If Bush were traded to the Green Bay Packers, he could be used more as a wide receiver, and his numbers would likely soar with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.
Thomas Jones to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4 of 27The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have gotten solid production out of rookie LeGarrette Blount, but there's no proof that he'll repeat his stellar rookie season.
If Thomas Jones were to be traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Bucs, he'd likely flourish as Tampa's lead back.
Jones ran for an impressive 896 yards while splitting carries with Jamaal Charles—Jones' numbers would be much more impressive if he were the lead back.
Andre Johnson to the Indianapolis Colts
5 of 27Imagine how sick the Indianapolis Colts secondary must get after facing Andre Johnson twice a year. Well, let's imagine how amazing his numbers would be if he was a member of the Colts.
Johnson's numbers would definitely soar, along with Peyton Manning's.
Vincent Jackson to the Pittsburgh Steelers
6 of 27The Pittsburgh Steelers already have their starting wide receivers in Hines Ward and Mike Wallace, but imagine how much better Ben Roethlisberger's numbers would be if the Steelers somehow landed Vincent Jackson. They would be scary.
Roddy White to the St. Louis Rams
7 of 27We already know how talented Roddy White is, but let's try to picture how good he'd be with Sam Bradford as a St. Louis Ram.
White emerged as a top of the league wide receiver with young quarterback Matt Ryan, and he could certainly bolster Bradford's numbers in St. Louis.
Jamaal Charles to the Denver Broncos
8 of 27Jamaal Charles proved to be the most explosive running back in the NFL, as he ran for a total of 1,467 yards on only 230 attempts, an incredible rate of 6.4 yards per carry.
Charles split time in Kansas City but would be the lead back in Denver under newly hired head coach John Fox—a coach who loves to run the football.
Brandon Lloyd to the Jacksonville Jaguars
9 of 27Brandon Lloyd was the league's leading receiver as a Denver Bronco last season while he didn't have a true quarterback.
Throw Lloyd on a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars, along with quarterback David Garrard, and both players' numbers would be on the rise.
Donovan McNabb to the Minnesota Vikings
10 of 27This is one of the few trades on this list that could possibly happen.
Donovan McNabb would be the short-term answer at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, and he'd put up some solid numbers along with wide receiver Percy Harvin and running back Adrian Peterson.
Chad Ochocinco to the Green Bay Packers
11 of 27Without a question, Chad Ochocinco wants to win a Super Bowl, and he'd have a legitimate shot with the reigning champs, the Green Bay Packers.
Ochocinco would line up opposite Greg Jennings, with James Jones in the slot, and they would form one high-powered offense, led by Aaron Rodgers.
Kyle Orton to the Arizona Cardinals
12 of 27Now, this is one trade that could possibly happen this offseason.
Kyle Orton would join the Arizona Cardinals, a team that desperately needs a quarterback. Orton would likely target Larry Fitzgerald quite often, and both players' stats would be very respectable.
Arian Foster to the Green Bay Packers
13 of 27The Green Bay Packers didn't have the best rushing attack last season, due to the injury to Ryan Grant, but Arian Foster would be a definite upgrade.
Foster would flourish as Green Bay's lead back, as opposing teams would focus more on stopping Rodgers and the Packers' stellar passing attack.
Calvin Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens
14 of 27The Baltimore Ravens got their top wide receiver in Anquan Boldin last offseason, but adding someone like Calvin Johnson would turn their offense into one of the league's best.
Just picture how stellar Joe Flacco's stats would be.
Antonio Gates to the Detroit Lions
15 of 27Antonio Gates is one of the most versatile players in all of football, as he can line up as a tight end or a wide receiver.
Gates would turn the Detroit Lions offense into a nightmare, as he'd bolster Matthew Stafford's stats, not to mention Calvin Johnson would certainly benefit from this as well.
C.J. Spiller to the Miami Dolphins
16 of 27C.J. Spiller is a very versatile running back, as he's very effective as a receiver or simply running the football.
Spiller would be a solid replacement for both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, and he'd likely be the lead back in Miami.
Kevin Kolb to the New York Jets
17 of 27I don't know about you, but I have zero faith in quarterback Mark Sanchez—and I firmly believe that Kevin Kolb would be a much better passer in the New York Jets offense.
Kolb could possibly have the chance to throw to wide receivers Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards—and I'm positive that both Holmes' and Edwards' numbers would be much better with Kolb than Sanchez.
Steve Johnson to the Cleveland Browns
18 of 27What does Colt McCoy need most? A quality No. 1 wide receiver, and Steve Johnson could be the one.
Johnson would certainly bolster McCoy's numbers if he were to line up wide for the second-year quarterback.
Reggie Wayne to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
19 of 27The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have found their top wide receiver in Mike Williams but don't have a solid No. 2—and Reggie Wayne would certainly fill that need.
Charles Woodson to the New York Jets
20 of 27Charles Woodson lining up opposite of Darrelle Revis: What would you do? I'd suggest running the football—completely forget throwing the ball.
Vernon Davis to the New Orleans Saints
21 of 27The New Orleans Saints may have a high-powered passing attack, but they don't have a top of the league tight end.
If Vernon Davis were to be shipped off to the Saints, I am positive that he'd flourish with Drew Brees and that the Saints offense would be near impossible to stop.
Jeremy Maclin to the Chicago Bears
22 of 27Jeremy Maclin is definitely overshadowed by DeSean Jackson on the Philadelphia Eagles, but as a member of the Chicago Bears, he'd be the top dog.
Maclin's numbers, along with Jay Cutler's, would without a doubt soar sky-high.
Dwayne Bowe to the Oakland Raiders
23 of 27The one thing that the Oakland Raiders are definitely missing is a top wide receiver, and Dwayne Bowe would definitely do the job.
Bowe would likely produce the same stats as a Raider but would definitely help out quarterback Jason Campbell's numbers.
Michael Bush to the Arizona Cardinals
24 of 27Michael Bush is a solid running back that split carries with Darren McFadden last season as an Oakland Raider.
Not only would Bush's numbers excel as a member of the Arizona Cardinals, but McFadden's would too, along with those of Chris "Beanie" Wells, because he'd receive some much-needed help with the addition of Bush.
DeSean Jackson to the Indianapolis Colts
25 of 27Could DeSean Jackson's stats get any better?
They sure can—put him with Peyton Manning on the Indianapolis Colts.
Jay Cutler to the Arizona Cardinals
26 of 27Jay Cutler does have a rocket arm but tends to force balls.
However, throw him on the Arizona Cardinals, and he can force all the passes he wants with Larry Fitzgerald, as he'll likely come down with them every time.
Terrell Suggs to the Detroit Lions
27 of 27The Detroit Lions' defensive front is built to sack the quarterback, but now throw in Terrell Suggs—they will be one of the most dominating pass-rushing teams in the entire NFL.
