- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Carolina Panthers 17-14 on Monday Night Football, moving the Panthers to 1-4 on the season. Last year's NFC representative in the Super Bowl is in serious danger of missing the playoffs.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Comments on Colin Kaepernick and National Anthem Protests
- "I think it's really dumb of them," Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in an interview with Yahoo's Katie Couric. "Would I arrest them for doing it? No. I think it’s dumb and disrespectful. I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning. I think it’s a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn’t lock a person up for doing it. I would point out how ridiculous it seems to me to do such an act.”

- "(Christian) McCaffrey did get banged up," Stanford coach David Shaw said, per ESPN.com's David Lombardi. "But there was no reason to put him in late in the game. We just left him out. We'll see how he is during the course of the week."

- New York Giants offensive lineman Ereck Flowers shoved ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan following Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers, per Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media. Following the incident, Raanan tweeted, "All good. Minor thing. No need for anyone to be concerned."

Gary Kubiak Will Miss Game vs. Chargers After Hospitalization
- Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak was taken to hospital for flu-like symptoms on Sunday, per the Broncos' vice-president of public relations, Patrick Smyth. Monday, team president John Elway told Cecil Lammey of 104.3 The Fan that Kubiak will get the week off to recover.
