Five of his teammates came off the board in the first round, but Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Braxton Miller had to wait until the third round to hear his name called at the 2016 NFL draft. The Houston Texans selected him with the 85th overall selection on Friday:

Miller spent the bulk of his college career at quarterback but moved to wideout for the 2015 season. He caught 25 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns last year.

CBS Sports' Jamey Eisenberg thought the Texans did well to bolster their passing game, as did the Texans' star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins:

The Boston Globe's Ben Volin is an even bigger fan given what else Houston has done in the draft:

Here are some of the best social media reactions to Miller's selection by the Texans:

Bleacher Report's Chris Simms made the case for why Miller would be a nice slot receiver in the NFL:

Spending a third-round pick on Miller is a worthwhile gamble, since it offsets much of the risk he carries, given his inexperience at wide receiver.

He's a great athlete, and slot receivers are becoming more valuable in the NFL. Since the Texans already have so many weapons on offense, Miller won't need to play a big role in the team, which should aid his development.

Brock Osweiler remains a somewhat-unproven NFL quarterback. All seven of his starts came last year as he filled in for Peyton Manning. Given the question marks hovering around their marquee signing, the Texans were smart to not only snag Miller but also Will Fuller in the first three rounds of the draft. The more targets at his disposal, the more successful Osweiler should be in Houston.
