Fantasy Football 2012: Week 2 Top 50 Wide Receiver Rankings
There were far more wide receivers (29) than running backs (20) to score double-digit fantasy points in standard-scoring leagues during Week 1 of the 2012 NFL season.
Whether the guys who catch the football become more consistent fantasy scorers than the guys who run it on a game-by-game basis remains to be seen.
Aside from perhaps the very best of the best wide receivers, I wouldn’t bet on it.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This new league is chock-full of pass-first offenses, but the running backs that got their touches still turned in some of the most dynamic games in Week 1.
But the top performer between the two positions was Kevin Ogletree, a previously little-known wide receiver.
For now, it is easier to get just a few fantasy points from a wideout. That makes it more important to start the players that can separate themselves from the others.
Below are my fantasy wide receiver rankings for Week 2.
1. Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears (at Green Bay Packers). Reunited with Jay Cutler, Marshall racked up a ton of targets in Week 1. The Packers still have to prove they can stop people.
2. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Cleveland Browns). The Browns won't have Joe Haden in this contest. They won't have anyone to matchup with the sophomore.
3. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions (at San Francisco 49ers). Would you like to bet that he doesn't get 100 yards this game?
4. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans (at Jacksonville Jaguars). He's healthy, and doing damage. Takes his show on the road this week.
5. Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons (vs. Denver Broncos). Could very well be the No. 1 receiver this week (just like everyone else before him in this list). But has Champ Bailey/Tracy Porter to deal with this time around.
6. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts (vs. Minnesota Vikings). Wayne is the no-doubt No.1 WR for the Colts. Andrew Luck had him in his sights an awful lot on Sunday and he responded well.
7. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers (vs. Chicago Bears). A second straight home game for Nelson. He should make some big plays after a short week.
8. Percy Harvin, Minnesota Vikings (at Indianapolis Colts). The Colts gave up 41 points in Week 1.
9. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals (at New England Patriots). Pacific team flying east. He's got to be the steadying force behind the Cardinals' offensive attack if they're going to have a prayer at winning this game.
10. Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers (vs. Chicago Bears). Disregard if he misses the Thursday contest.
11. Victor Cruz, New York Giants (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers). The Bucs looked like they're going to make stopping the run a hallmark in Week 1. That means Cruz is going to get an opportunity to atone for his drops against the Cowboys.
12. Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons (vs. Denver Broncos). He gets whichever corner Julio's not dealing with.
13. Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys (at Seattle Seahawks). If the Seahawks pay any attention to Kevin Ogletree (unlike the Giants in Week 1), Austin's going to get more looks.
14. Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers (vs. New Orleans Saints). The Saints are reeling from a loss at home to a rookie quarterback, and now have to visit the Panthers.
15. Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos (at Atlanta Falcons). He's got a revitalized Peyton Manning throwing him the football.
16. Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
17. Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. New York Jets).
18. Marques Colston, New Orleans Saints (at Carolina Panthers).
19. Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys (at Seattle Seahawks).
20. Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens (at Philadelphia Eagles).
21. Wes Welker, New England Patriots (vs. Arizona Cardinals).
22. Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at New York Giants).
23. Steve Johnson, Buffalo Bills (vs. Kansas City Chiefs).
24. Kevin Ogletree, Dallas Cowboys (at Seattle Seahawks).
25. Brandon Lloyd, New England Patriots (vs. Arizona Cardinals).
26. Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City Chiefs (at Buffalo Bills).
27. Eric Decker, Denver Broncos (at Atlanta Falcons).
28. Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. New York Jets).
29. Anquan Boldin, Baltimore Ravens (at Philadelphia Eagles).
30. Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Detroit Lions).
31. Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers (vs. Chicago Bears).
32. Stephen Hill, New York Jets (at Pittsburgh Steelers).
33. DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Baltimore Ravens).
34. Randy Moss, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Detroit Lions).
35. Darrius Heyward-Bey, Oakland Raiders (at Miami Dolphins).
36. Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers (vs. Tennessee Titans).
37. Alshon Jeffery, Chicago Bears (at Green Bay Packers).
38. Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans (at San Diego Chargers).
39. Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints (at Carolina Panthers).
40. Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks (vs. Dallas Cowboys).
41. Laurent Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Houston Texans)
42. Brandon LaFell, Carolina Panthers (vs. New Orleans Saints).
43. Mike Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at New York Giants).
44. Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans (at San Diego Chargers).
45. Titus Young, Detroit Lions (at San Francisco 49ers).
46. Jason Avant, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Baltimore Ravens).
47. Brandon Gibson, St. Louis Rams (vs. Washington Redskins).
48. Rod Streater, Oakland Raiders (at Miami Dolphins).
49. Nate Washington, Tennessee Titans (at San Diego Chargers).
50. Robert Meachem, San Diego Chargers (vs. Tennessee Titans).
