2012 NFL Mock Draft: What Will St. Louis Rams Do at No. 6?
Now that the St. Louis Rams have unloaded the No. 2 pick in the 2012 NFL draft through a blockbuster trade with the Washington Redskins, we can start to focus on what the Rams will actually do with their first pick in the draft at No. 6.
The Rams did a good job locking in their rebuilding plan by acquiring three first-round draft picks and a second-rounder in their deal with the Redskins. Now, they have to execute on those picks and not miss or it will all be for naught.
As things stand right now, I think the Rams will have to decide between a few options when they make their first pick on April 26. By the time the sixth pick rolls around, guys like Dontari Poe, Riley Reiff, Quinton Coples, Luke Kuechly and Melvin Ingram should all be available. But the guy St. Louis should select is Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
As the Rams have seen with the Detroit Lions, creating an elite quarterback-receiver duo can change the entire complexion of a roster. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson have become one of the most dangerous pairings in the NFL. While Blackmon doesn't have Johnson's size, he has the same ability to make huge plays.
Pairing Blackmon with quarterback Sam Bradford would not only give the young signal-caller a safety net with a guy who can flat out catch the ball, it would also give him a game-breaker who can make something happen every time he touches it.
Blackmon answered a lot of questions about his speed at Oklahoma State's pro day on Friday by running a 4.46 40-yard dash. He can move, and anyone who watched him play in college knows that he is the total package at receiver.
There is no doubt that Bradford would be thrilled to finally have a go-to target. Blackmon has to be the guy for the Rams at No. 6.
