Giants vs Jets: NYG Primed to Take NFC East After Ugly Week 16 Win
The New York Giants defeated their crosstown rivals in their Week 16 matchup and put themselves in prime playoff position.
With a hideous 29-14 win over the Jets, the Giants improved to 8-7 and set up a high-stakes showdown with the Cowboys next week. The winner of that game will claim the NFC East title and a spot in the playoffs.
New York didn't look particularly good versus the Gang Green, but they got the W, and that's all that matters.

Underrated FA Signings 📈
Eli Manning struggled against the Jets' elite secondary, completing just nine of his 27 passes. He still managed to rack up 225 yards though, thanks to a 99-yard touchdown pass to Victor Cruz.
Ahmad Bradshaw was dominant at times, carrying the ball 15 times for 56 yards and two touchdowns. He set the tone in the second half when he unleashed a violent 14-yard run, plowing over Jets defenders on his way to the end zone.
The Giants defense also played pretty well, capitalizing on multiple Mark Sanchez errors. The young quarterback threw two interceptions and fumbled a snap into the Giants end zone, killing a golden comeback opportunity.
It wasn't pretty by any means, but the Giants should be happy with the victory.
They also got some good news shortly after the game, when Dallas quarterback Tony Romo smacked his throwing hand on the helmet of an Eagles defender. His hand is swollen and his status for the Week 17 showdown is uncertain.
Even if Romo plays, the Giants should be confident about their chances after erasing a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to beat Dallas in Week 14.
The Giants have lost five of their last seven games, but with the win over the Jets, they have an excellent chance to sneak into the playoffs.
