The Indianapolis Colts are already in the doghouse with a ton of injuries to key players, and news is getting even worse with the possibly serious injury to Joseph Addai.

As expected, since he didn't even make the flight to Cincinnati, Joseph Addai (hamstring) is inactive, according to Rotoworld's Staff. Be sure to have Delone Carter in your fantasy lineup, as he will be a beast today.

Just in case you needed more proof that Joseph Addai wasn't going to play Sunday against Cincinnati, ESPN's Staff reports, "Three Colts players will not travel to Cincinnati for Sunday's game.
Running back Joseph Addai, left tackle Anthony Castonzo and defensive tackle Drake Neviswill stay in Indianapolis, the team says."
Expect a heavy done of Delone Carter against the Bengals.

According to Phillip Wilson of The Indianapolis Star, Joseph Addai is listed as questionable, but he doesn't expect Addai to suit up.
This news doesn't bode well for Addai owners who were hoping to have him available. It looks like Delone Carter may be getting his first NFL start this weekend.

It is still unclear when Joseph Addai will return to the gridiron, but the Colts and his fantasy owners already have room for optimism.
"'"No tear. It was just a little strain. That’s the good part about it, it’s not a bad thing that would keep me out for a long time,' Addai said Thursday. 'But with hamstrings, I don’t really know how long that will take before I get back on the field.'
"
'I had [a similar injury] three years ago, and it was something that kind of lingered. I was trying to come back and some games I was trying to play with it, and I didn’t actually know that I was delaying myself. This time I’m trying to be smart about it, and make sure that I’m 100 percent before I actually come back,'" Addai said according to Tribune-Star Correspondent Tom James.

A little more clarity came to light today with regards to Addai's status for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Straight from the horse's mouth, Addai said he is unlikely to play according to WISH-TV sportscaster Chris Widlic.
Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 3:55 p.m. EDT -- Tim Daniels
During his media session today, Colts head coach Jim Caldwell didn't have an update on Addai, according to CBS Sports. And the coach failed to provide any help to fantasy owners because he didn't name an alternate starter, either.
"The Colts promoted RB Darren Evans from the practice squad, which is probably a very strong indication that Addai probably won't play Week 6. We could see a split-carry situation between Carter and Brown, but we would recommend Carter as the better stopgap Fantasy option this week. Even if Addai plays, then he would be a risky Fantasy option, so prepare to use healthier alternatives
"
Carter still appears to be the wiser pickup, but Brown isn't a bad option considering Caldwell wasn't willing to commit. While Brown has been unimpressive in the past, the coaching staff must still have some faith in him.
Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. EDT -- Tim Daniels
Phillip Wilson, who covers the Colts for the Indianapolis Star, made a connection between an Indianapolis roster move and Addai's playing status for Week 6. It's not good.
Fantasy owners who were holding out hope the running back could make a quick recovery from his hamstring injury should start searching for other options. Delone Carter, who will replace Addai, or Earnest Graham are solid options.
Monday, Oct. 10 at 8:28 p.m. EDT
Terrible news for Joseph Addai's fantasy owners. Great news for Delone Carter's current and future fantasy owners. Yes folks, waiver-wire alert, you should be targeting Carter as one of this week's top pickups.
According to Rotoworld's Staff, "ESPN's John Clayton suggested on SportsCenter Monday that Joseph Addai's right hamstring strain could sideline him for 1-3 weeks."
While Addai said his right hamstring didn’t feel like it tore, they won’t be certain until they get the results of the MRI back.
Indianapolis Star's Mike Chappell reports Addai is scheduled for an MRI today. Even worse, he reports Addai knew the injury right away.
""'Sometimes you feel it tear,' Addai said as he exited the locker room following the Colts' 28-24 loss Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. "This was a little grab.
'Really won't know till we get the scan (today).'"
"
With Delone Carter and Donald Brown splitting the carries in Indianapolis while Addai is on the mend, any hope of the team making a run at a playoff spot is completely gone now.
