The Cowboys are on the ropes, already. They face the San Francisco 49ers today in a matchup that features one team on the rise, the Niners, and another looking to rise, the Cowboys.

Dallas is hoping to get off the map today against San Fran and most expect for them to do so.

The Cowboys are looking for redemption after a stinging loss to the Jets last week. Quarterback Tony Romo threw a late; costly interception that cost Dallas game. Fans and pundits have railed against him saying that he's not a big name quarterback and will never lead Dallas to a Super Bowl.

Tony will look to prove his doubter wrong against San Fran and if he can't look for fans to sound the for Kitna to get the nod over Romo.

The Cowboys are down early in the tough NFC East and will have to win this game to keep pace with Washington and Philadelphia for division supremacy and maybe a final playoff spot.

Dallas will also need more from its running game but that falls on the shoulder of head coach Jason Garrett. He’ll need to utilize Felix Jones and Tashard Choice more if Dallas has any chance of winning. His unbalanced approach is noted but Dallas needs to win ballgames at this point.

Final score: Niners 24, Cowboys 27.
