Well, we're getting closer and closer to the real opening kickoff, but for some, that also means bad news as players will be cut.

Each team has its own conundrums, and for all of heir acquisitions this offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the more popular.

That being said, the following players are on the bubble in The City of Brotherly Love and will inspire some very difficult decisions as to who makes the 53-man roster and who doesn't.

So, here are five Eagles who are on the bubble for the final cut of the 2011 season.

WR, Sinorice Moss

In the five years that Sinorice Moss spent in New York with the Giants, he only caught 39 passes for 421 yards and three TDs.

Now, he also supposedly has the skills to make it as a return man, but he didn't fare so well with that in The Big Apple either.

A lot of his lack of success can be attributed to injuries, but nonetheless, Philly has plenty of WRs with talent.

Prediction: Cut

WR, Johnnie Lee Higgins

If there's a way in which Johnnie Lee Higgins becomes a Philadelphia Eagle, it's in the return game.

And that would only serve to give DeSean Jackson a break, provided that he's willing to delegate those duties to Higgins.

In any event, Higgins was a decent return man in Oakland, but it's nothing compared to what Jackson has done.

However, the potential is there because he did return three punts back for a TD in 2008. Unfortunately, he hasn't done too much since then.

Prediction: Not cut

LB, Akeem Jordan

After drafting Casey Matthews (Oregon) and Brian Rolle (Ohio State), there may not be any room for Akeem Jordan in Philadelphia this season.

He's obviously on the bubble, but with an even younger Jamar Chaney and Moise Fokou at OLB, Jordan may be the odd man out.

Chances are he signs elsewhere if cut (maybe Seattle), but the Eagles aren't going to need him unless there's an injury or two at LB.

Prediction: Cut

DB, Marlin Jackson

Marlin Jackson is the savvy veteran in the Philadelphia secondary along with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Asante Samuel and Nmamdi Asomugha.

He was a big reason why the Indianapolis Colts went to and won Super Bowl XLI, so he brings much experience to Philly.

Making the move to safety will be interesting and, just by reputation alone, should earn him a spot on the final roster.

However, don't be surprised if he gets cut because youngsters in Jaiqwaun Jarrett (Temple) and Nate Allen are talented as well.

Prediction: Not cut

OL, Winston Justice

With the bad knee, longtime Eagles O-lineman Winston Justice won't take up a roster spot being on the PUP list, but at this point, it may be time for Philly to go in a new direction.

For one, he hasn't practiced all training camp and most likely won't be able to play until mid-season (at the earliest).

It'd be different if Justice would be able to go in Week 1, but by then, the offensive team chemistry will be rolling and he could be left out.

However, since being on the PUP list doesn't take up a roster spot, Justice makes it by default. When he returns, he will add some solid depth to the offensive line.

Prediction: Not cut
