Jaguars vs. Bills: TV Schedule, Radio and Online Live Streaming Info
The third week of the preseason is upon us.
While teams are still careful about playing injured players, this is the week of the preseason that's taken most seriously. Starters usually play well into the third quarter and teams run schemes that best resemble what they will do in the regular season.
Jacksonville and Buffalo are similar teams. They both play in divisions that have dominant teams at the top, but both are also emerging.

Jaguars' Key Addition
Since he was the No. 10 overall pick and is a quarterback, Blaine Gabbert gets the majority of the attention.
But it's the later draft pick of Chris Prosinski, as well as the signings of Dawan Landry and Drew Coleman that will best help the team.
The Colts secondary was a liability in 2010, which is a serious problem when you share a division with Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub.
Bills' Key Addition
The No. 3 overall pick of Marcell Dareus from Alabama adds to the Bills defensive front that will give opposing offenses a lot of trouble.
Nick Barnett was also signed from the Packers. While Barnett played only four games in 2010, he's been a sure handed tackler at linebacker. Barnett also helps add to the pass rush.
Jaguars' Biggest Loss
While 2010 was a drop off for Mike Sims-Walker, he still caught 43 passes for 562 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Jaguars have a talented but untested group of receivers without Sims-Walker. With a potential quarterback controversy between David Garrard and Blaine Gabbert, a lack of stability could hurt all parties involved.
Bills' Biggest Loss
It's a tossup between Donte Whitner and Lee Evans. Whitner started all 16 games for the Bills in 2010, while Evans started 13.
I would call Evans the bigger of the two losses. The Bills have a pass rush that will help minimize the loss of Whitner in the secondary.
While Evans has been inconsistent at times, he and Steve Johnson formed to create a good punch for Ryan Fitzpatrick.
What They're Saying
Mark J. Miller of Yahoo Sports reports here that the Bills are unaware of how bad the injury that Dareus suffered on Wednesday is.
This could make a huge difference for the Bills if he's forced to miss time in the season.
The Jaguars are seen as a team that can make a run at the playoffs, especially if Peyton Manning misses time.
Jacksonville has its own injury issues to work through. Defensive end Aaron Kampman and running back Maurice Jones-Drew will be held out of Saturday's game, as both are recovering from knee surgery.
Jaguars' Player To Watch
Blaine Gabbert. Even though Garrard has officially been named the starter for the season, it will be interesting to see what kind of progress Gabbert makes for the remainder of the preseason.
Bills' Player To Watch
Fred Jackson. Jackson has voiced displeasure with the fact that he is the No. 2 running back behind CJ Spiller. Jackson is actually the starting back, but he sees his carries dwindling.
Think of this as an audition for Jackson and the rest of the league.
Matchup To Watch
It's hard to put a finger on just one, but the Bills secondary against the Jacksonville receivers intrigues me the most.
Neither units are bad enough to be called liabilities, but they are question marks.
If you're looking for a second matchup to keep an eye on, try the Jaguars secondary against the Bills receivers. Much of what was said about the Jags receivers against the Bills secondary applies here.
Jaguars' Position Battle
The quarterback battle is still intriguing. Yes, Garrard has officially been named the starter, but this is something to keep an eye on throughout the season.
The secondary will also draw a lot of potential position battles that will last throughout the season.
Bills' Position Battle
The running back battle is still intriguing, even though Jackson is the starter.
Jackson is a running back that's worthy of a lot of carries. It will be really interesting to see if those carries come in Buffalo, or elsewhere. Keep an eye on that battle, because the drama there isn't over.
Key Storyline
For both teams, the most important storyline is the injuries. Both Jacksonville and Buffalo have injuries to key players.
In terms of this game, the running back situation in Buffalo is most worth keeping an eye on. Jackson is the starter, but a lot can happen on Saturday and then in the early season.
Prediction
Buffalo has the home field advantage and more players battling for key positions. They will win here.
27-14 Bills
