Braylon Edwards is the biggest name left on the free agent market. For a while, he was expected to be back in New York, but after the Jets signed Plaxico Burress, it is clear he will be playing for a new team.

The Arizona Cardinals are rumored to be very interested and right now appear to be the front runner for Edwards. Nothing has been finalized, but it could literally happen at any moment.

Adding a player of Edwards' talent would go a long way to improving Arizona's offense. If they do land him, here are four reasons why the Cardinals' offense would become fearsome.

Larrry Fitzgerald Finally Has a Robin

Anquan Boldin is a fantastic receiver, but when Arizona drafted Larry Fitzgerald, it was clear that he is a far superior player than Boldin. Unfortunately, Boldin wanted to be the star and wouldn't settle playing Robin to Fitzgerald's Batman.

If Arizona gets Edwards, Fitzgerald will finally have an extremely talented receiving partner. If they can play off each other's strengths, both could have extremely productive seasons.

Edwards has the potential to be a unique talent if used correctly and being as No. 2 receiver might fully tap into that potential.

More Weapons for Kevin Kolb

The newly acquired Kevin Kolb could use all the weapons he can get his hands on. Braylon Edwards would certainly be a welcomed addition for Kolb.

With Fitzgerald and Edwards on the field, any quarterback would have a decent season. When you consider the potential that Kolb has, he could have a Pro Bowl caliber season in his first year with the Cardinals.

If Kolb lives up to expectations, Arizona's offense, with Edwards, could be one of the most potent in the league.

Edwards Opens Up Running Game

Both Fitzgerald and Edwards are fantastic at making plays after the catch. For opposing defenses to stop potential big plays, they would need to drop a safety, and maybe two, back into coverage to stop the deep ball.

Without the safety available to help stop the run, rookie Ryan Williams and Beanie Wells could become a force on the ground. Both players have a ton of talent and both could take advantage of the situation.

Edwards is also a pretty decent blocker and getting big gains on the ground is easier when a wide receiver is willing to make a quality block.

We Haven't Seen the Full Potential of Edwards

I'm going out on a ledge here, so please don't push me off until I can explain myself.

I believe that we haven't seen all that Edwards is capable of quite yet. The 2007 season, when he grabbed 80 receptions for 1,289 yards and 16 touchdowns, was the closest we have come to seeing how good Edwards can be.

If (and this is a big if) Kolb turns out to be a great quarterback, it will be the first time that Edwards has played with a decent quarterback (don't even try to tell me that Mark Sanchez is decent, I'm not buying it). There is no doubt that he will excel if the guy throwing him the ball has skill.

Should Edwards sign with Arizona, look for him to have a monster season while making the Cardinals' offense one of the most feared offenses in the NFL.
