Ubaldo Jimenez trade rumors have been showing up everywhere on the web the past few days. Jimenez is without a doubt one of the biggest names available on the trade market this year.

It is uncertain if the Colorado Rockies will trade Jimenez before the 2011 MLB trade deadline, but there are certainly many suitors coming after him. The Rockies have said that they need to be overwhelmed with an offer and every team after Jimenez could do that.

5. Detroit Tigers

With their recent deal for Doug Fister, it seems that the Tigers will be out of the race for Ubaldo Jimenez. There is still a chance that they could make a move for him as they do have issues with their rotation, however it is very slim.

Danny Knobler of CBS Sports has noted that the Tigers have asked for a few pitching prospects, including Jacob Turner, as well as Brennan Boesch in return for Jimenez.

Boston has been trying to figure out who to fill out their rotation for a while now. They have Kevin Milwood in Triple-A but they have not called up him. The Red Sox have the top prospects to deal if they want to acquire Jimenez.

According to ESPN's Tim Kurkjian, the New York Yankees have stepped up their pursuit of Ubaldo Jimenez. This move would certainly make sense for the Yankees.

Jimenez would be a huge addition to the Yankees rotation and could make them the AL favorites. New York has the prospects to trade for Jimenez such as Jesus Montero and Manny Banuelos.
