San Francisco 49ers: Will Frank Gore Hold out for Contract?

The rumors are flying.

Unfortunately, the information coming from 49er insiders so far has been accurate. The latest: Frank Gore is pulling a "Crabtree." 

According to Adam Schefter, Frank Gore plans on holding out once camp starts.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee commented that Gore would want an extension, since he is in his last year of his contract.

@MattBarrows: Gore is entering the final year of his contract and wants an extension. He did not take part in any of the "Camp Alexes" in June.

This may all just be formalities. I could see him just asking for more years—as Matt Barrow says—and the 49ers would probably oblige quickly.  

Beyond that, Center David Baas is gone, along with our beloved Takeo Spikes.

Things are getting kind of crazy—as expected.

Another notable fact: Colin Kaepernick will have four days of practice with new Coach Jim Harbaugh before Alex Smith is allowed to attend camp, according to the new CBA rules. 

I am trying not to rush to any judgments and have decided to be patient and see how this all turns out.

The offseason has been definitely interesting thus far.
