NFL Rumors: Should New England Consider Acquiring Reggie Bush?
Whether he's traded of simply cut, the New Orleans Saints are likely going to part ways with running back Reggie Bush.
Bush, who's set to earn $11.8 million next season, appears to be on his way out of New Orleans—likely due to the Saints selecting Mark Ingram in the first round of this year's draft and because he's simply not worth $11.8 million.
In fact, Pro Football Talk's Gregg Rosenthal recently reports that the Saints may have to settle for a third or a fourth-round pick in return for Bush, due to his large contract and that the new team will have to restructure it.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Once the lockout is lifted, should Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots consider trading for Bush?
Many tend to label Bush as a big-time bust, however he's still a serviceable offensive weapon that has some of the league's best playmaking abilities—and could flourish in New England's offense led by Tom Brady.
New England certainly has the tools to get a deal done with Bush, as they currently hold two first and second-rounders, a third, fourth and a fifth-round pick. It's just a matter of restructuring Bush's massive contract.
By just taking a glance at New England's roster, it may be hard to believe that there would be room for Bush in their already crowded backfield, but the former USC Trojan is simply too much talent to pass on.
Bush may be listed as running back, but he'd be used in multiple ways in New England's offense—likely he'd be primarily used as a slot receiver.
One of the most intriguing traits regarding New England's offense is the ability to create mismatches, and Bush is the ultimate mismatch. If he lines up in the backfield, there's no way a linebacker can cover him, and if he lines up in the slot, he'd likely beat the safety or situational cornerback every single time. He's simply an extremely dangerous weapon to have.
However, there is a major downfall regarding Bush—his ability to stay healthy.
The former second overall pick in the 2006 draft has yet to play a full season ever since his rookie campaign, when he rushed for 565 yards while reeling in a stellar 88 passes.
If New England were to acquire Bush, the Patriots' offensive coaching staff would be able to create a whole new package that involves Bush, because he's just that talented. By adding Bush, the Patriots immediately have a new wrinkle in their already dominant offense.
The Patriots' trading for Reggie Bush is definitely a long-shot at this point, but once the free agency begins, I am sure that rumors will start to circulate.
Bush is the kind of offensive player that New England would love to have—he's someone that you can structure offensive packages around.
