Scott Kazmir's Dreadful Start for Los Angeles Angels' of Anaheim Triple-A Squad

For those of you who forgot about Scott Kazmir, here’s something to remember him by:
Kazmir is currently pitching for the Salt Lake Bees, who are the Los Angeles Angels' of Anaheim Triple-A affiliate, and that was his pitching line from his start on Thursday night.
That is absolutely dreadful.
Kazmir only threw 52 of his 91 pitches for strikes, and is now 0-4 with a 15.15 ERA in four minor league starts. He’s striking out one batter per inning, but he’s walking over 10 batters per nine innings.
At the age of 27, it appears Kazmir is toast. Despite being owed $12 million in 2011 and having a $13.5 club option with a $2.5 million buyout (almost certain to be exercised), it looks like Kazmir will be released by the Angels, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.
The Angels have had a real bad habit lately of taking on teams' albatross contracts. Perhaps they should look to build their team in different ways.
