Oakland Raiders Must Stay the Course, Start Strong, Strive Harder

Honor Warren Wells TheTorchApr 20, 2011

The Oakland Raiders 2011 schedule is on the website, www.raiders.com.

There are four preseason games, but most of us are focused on the first game of the regular season, when the Raiders jump on and ride the backs of the Broncos.

The Oakland Raiders have an overall average of .549. This exceeds the win-loss record of the Denver Broncos. It is an indicator that the Raiders are stronger than the Broncos, in my opinion.

We are expecting the Oakland Raiders to start strong. Do you remember that victory over the Broncos in 2010. It shook the world.

Since the Oakland Raiders have an upward trend with consecutive wins of two, four, five, five and eight, we expect at least 11 wins in 2011.

Also, the Denver Broncos have a sequence of wins: nine, seven, eight, eight and four. The big drop in 2010 is a dip in performance when compared to 2008 and 2009.

There was constancy for both teams in 2008 and 2009. The Broncos had eight wins for those years while the Raiders had five wins.

Sometimes visuals help you see things better. Look at this chart:

200747
200858
200958
201084

It's going to be a good year. Some of us believe it!

Go Raiders! Start the 2011 season strong, and strive harder.
