Could this be true? Pretty boy Tommy being hated league-wide?
It is true.
A research firm, Penn Schoen Berland, announced through the Hollywood Reporter their poll results for the NFL most disliked players.
1. Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre
2. Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick
3. New England Patriots QB Tom Brady
How could this be true? Who can have so much hatred for Brady and his long locks of hair?
Anyone who isn't a Patriots fan.
For New England fans, they have been very fortunate the past decade, with New England becoming the league's first dynasty in the salary cap era. So, as expected, non-New England fans hate or dislike the Patriots.
Ever since the Patriots dynasty, fans around the world have had much dislike for names like Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and Rodney Harrison. Some people just don't like the Patriot way.
With the whole Spy-gate scandal and the Patriots "running up the score" in 2007, I can understand why fans might have some hatred for Brady.
Brady is among the elite players in the league, and is arguably the best as he won his second Offensive Player of the Year award and is this year's likely Most Valuable Player.
For Patriots fans, take the hatred as a compliment; other fans are just jealous.
Let the haters hate.
If Belichick were to comment about the poll results, I could imagine he'd throw out his famous quote from 2009: "Stats are for losers."
