Saints vs. Seahawks Recap: Falcons Fans Are Now Huge Eagles Fans

With the Seattle Seahawks shocking the New Orleans Saints the Atlanta Falcons are now the biggest Eagles fans outside of the city of Philadelphia.

The Falcons will play host to either the No. 4 seed Seahawks, or the sixth-seeded Packers.

Plain and simple—we want to see the Seahawks in the Georgia Dome next Saturday Night.  We do not want to see the Green Bay Packers in the Georgia Dome until the 2011 regular season.

Michael Vick, we cheered you, we booed you, but we will cheer you for you on Sunday.

The Seahawks played the best game of the year against the Saints in the opening game of the 2011 playoffs.  But this should not scare the Falcons one bit—the Green Bay Packers should.

I don't care if the Seahawks won 100-0 against the Saints, I would still rather face Seattle.

I want to face Matt Hasselbeck, not Aaron Rodgers.  I want to face the Seahawks defense, not the Packers defense.

But even if the Packers win, the Falcons are still in good shape.

This will mean that they will not face the Saints or Eagles—the only two teams in the NFC that beat the Falcons—in the playoffs.

They will have to beat the Packers (already done that) and then beat either the Bears or Seahawks to advance to the Super Bowl.

I don't care who you are, that's a lot easier than facing the Saints and Eagles.

Bottom line, the Falcons without even playing on Wild Card Weekend, just became huge winners in the playoff picture.  They are the biggest winners this weekend.

But the players can't read this.  The coaches can't look ahead.  The Atlanta Falcons just need to focus on their opponent on Saturday.  I am just a fan.

None of the players will say this, but they want the Eagles to win.  At the end of the day though, they will still go out and play next Saturday night in the Georgia Dome.

They have no control over who they play, they need to go out next Saturday and dominate their opponent—something they have done all year.

With all of that being said, we want the Eagles to beat the Packers tomorrow.  Nothing more, nothing less.  But even if the Packers win, we won't have to face the Saints or Eagles in the postseason.

So meet the biggest winner of the first game of the 2011 NFL playoffs—the Atlanta Falcons
