Fantasy Football: Michael Vick for Fantasy Football MVP

Raju ByfieldNov 16, 2010

Michael Vick went absolutely nuts in a career game on Monday Night Football and amassed an amazing six touchdowns against a porous Washington Redskins defense.

He threw for four touchdowns on 333 yards and ran yards for 80 yards and two more scores in what looks like the fantasy game of the season.

Michael Vick’s unbelievable outing resulted in a whopping 49 points in the standard ESPN fantasy football game, which ranks him third-most all time.

Michael Vick has been an ever steady fantasy force this season and he currently ranks as the No. 2 player based on averages in the Yahoo! fantasy football game after 10 weeks in the books.

He is currently battling Peyton Hillis and Steve Johnson for Fantasy MVP honors, as all three are waiver wire wonders (as opposed to the drafted Arian Foster) who are helping to carry their fantasy teams this season, but at this point, Michael Vick has to get the nod after this monstrous game.

Michael Vick also plays a more premium position as a quarterback than Steve Johnson (WR) and Peyton Hillis (RB), as well giving him further distance in the argument.

Peyton Hills supporters do have a good case for themselves, as Hillis currently the seventh-rated player in the Yahoo! game after beginning the season on the waiver wire, his strongest argument is being healthy for more games than Michael Vick.

What cannot and will not be ignored however is this magical Monday night performance where Michael Vick placed his name in the fantasy football record books and became a fantasy legend.
