NFL Week 6 Picks: Baltimore Ravens To Steal Another Win At New England Patriots
NFL Week 6 is now upon us, and my predictions for this week's matchups are in.
The biggest matchups of the week are rematches from last year's playoffs. The 4-1 Baltimore Ravens head into Foxboro to take on the 3-1 New England Patriots. We also have two surprising 1-3 teams, with the Dallas Cowboys traveling to face the Vikings.
Here are my predictions for the biggest games of the weekend.
No-Brainer Picks
Chargers over Rams
Bears over Seahawks
Steelers over Browns
Giants over Lions

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots
1 of 10
The Baltimore Ravens look to steal another win from the New England Patriots on the road.
They are going to get it done. Running back Ray Rice returned to Pro-Bowl form just in time to face a defense that has given up plenty of yards to opposing offenses.
Joe Flacco should also hook up multiple times with his set of receivers against the weak Patriots secondary.
Tom Brady and the Patriots offense lost a huge playmaker in Randy Moss when trading him. Even though New England is still an offense to be feared, there is not one receiver I trust on that roster that can replace the deep ball Moss brought.
That is good news for the Ravens secondary, whose strength is defending the short passing game.
Ravens 30, Patriots 20
Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings
2 of 10
Two surprise 1-3 teams in the Vikings and the Cowboys will battle in Minnesota for the right to stay in the playoff race.
In the end, I think Brett Favre is going to come up with a big win needed to revive this team.
The Cowboys defense has been shaky as of late. Adrian Peterson is looking for a bounce back game, and should create much more balance in the offense.
Also look for Randy Moss and Percy Harvin to have great games against the struggling Cowboys secondary.
The key will be the defense, and whether or not they can slow down the Cowboys' dominant offense. However, Jared Allen and the defense will look to bounce back by feasting on the Cowboys' weak offensive line.
Vikings 34, Cowboys 26
Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers
3 of 10
Miami should upset Green Bay. After being embarrassed on Monday Night Football over a week ago, head coach Tony Sparano will have this team ready to play physical football.
Aaron Rodgers will be playing one week after sustaining a concussion, which mentally is tough to adapt to early on.
The Packers defense has many injuries right now. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are going to pound the running game to victory, and keep the potent Packers offense off the field.
Dolphins 24, Packers 21
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4 of 10
Who would have thought this NFC South matchup would be one of the more interesting games to watch this week?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a hot start of 3-1, a half game behind the Atlanta Falcons.
The defending champs head on the road, with a lot of doubt being put into this team. Not only isn't the offense clicking, but the defense can't stop many teams as well.
Week 6 is where I see the Saints getting back on track with a win. The Bucs have not faced any elite offenses this season, and will be put to the test against the Saints' weapons.
Unlike the Bengals, the Saints won't blow a touchdown lead with two minutes left in the game. The NFC South will be a three-team race.
Saints by four points.
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles
5 of 10
One of the Week 6 matchups features the battle of the birds. The 4-1 Atlanta Falcons travel to Philadelphia to take on an Eagles team that is sticking around in the NFC East.
Despite the questions I have for both teams, I'm going to go with the upset pick and take the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kevin Kolb is finally finding his role in the offense, and being that the game is in Philly, I think the defense will rise to the occasion in front of the home crowd and be able to contain Michael Turner.
If the running game can't get it going, I believe it will be too much on Matt Ryan's shoulders to carry this team to a victory.
Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans
6 of 10
This is a must-win game for the Houston Texans if they want to stay in the AFC race.
Being that it is at home, I'm giving the nod to Arian Foster's squad. It won't be too high scoring, as the Chiefs defense is playing well right now.
However, the Chiefs did have trouble defending the Colts' balanced attack last week, and I expect the Texans to follow suit.
Also, the young Texans secondary won't have to worry about Matt Cassel, who hasn't shown anyone that he is worth the big contract he received a few years ago.
I'll take the Texans by 10.
Oakland Raiders at San Francisco 49ers
7 of 10
San Francisco 49ers, it is time to get your first win of the season.
Alex Smith is facing a questionable secondary in Oakland, and Frank Gore should be able to run effectively.
In the end, it is going to come down to whether or not the 49ers' physical defense can stop the Raiders' offense.
It'll be close, but the 49ers win by six points.
New York Jets at Denver Broncos
8 of 10
Beware, NFL fans. This is a trap game for the New York Jets. Coming off a Monday night win over the Vikings, the Jets face a short week of preparation as they come to Denver to face a Broncos team in need of another big win.
More importantly, Darrelle Revis may not play. If he does, he may have limited time against the NFL's most potent passing attack.
The Broncos secondary is also a solid unit, with Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins leading the way.
For those who pick against the spread, I would go with Denver. As an overall prediction though, Rex Ryan will have his team ready to play, and they will pull out the win in Denver by an inch.
Jets 17, Broncos 16
Indianapolis Colts at Washington Redskins
9 of 10
The Indianapolis Colts travel to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Redskins, who are brimming with confidence after their 16-13 overtime win over the Packers.
I think the success will continue tomorrow night with a win over the Colts. Simply put, the Colts aren't the same team they have been in years past on offense.
The defense showed up last week, but that isn't saying much against a weak Chiefs' offense.
The home crowd will help the Skins, and I believe Donovan McNabb will continue the push to the NFC East crown.
Redskins, 23-20.
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars
10 of 10
Week 6 will end with a Monday night showdown between the Titans and the Jaguars, who are similar in a few ways.
Both have great running backs, emerging quarterbacks and are tied for the division lead in the AFC South.
In the end, the Titans will pull this one out. The Jaguars secondary has a lot of questions, which should lead to a couple hookups from Vince Young to Kenny Britt.
Jeff Fisher will have his defense ready to play, and Chris Johnson may be used to run out the clock and earn a big win for this Titan squad.
Titans win by 10 on the road.
