Is San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Jackson Headed To the Washington Redskins?
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is a very unhappy football player due to his current contract situation.
Rumors have been circulated regarding various teams who have interest in Jackson, and teams like the Seahawks and Browns could use a top receiver on their roster—but no one expected the Washington Redskins to be in the mix.
Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan is reportedly a "big fan" of Jackson, as reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune who got the information from an unnamed source.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Since the source is unnamed, one has to think that this is nothing more than a rumor, but think again.
Shanahan has been a "big fan" of Jackson's from back when Jackson was drafted in 2005. When Shanahan was with the Broncos, he had high interest in Jackson and held pick No. 56 and 76.
He thought that Jackson could fall to him in the third round since he played for Northern Colorado which is a smaller school—Shanahan passed on Jackson with pick No. 56.
The Chargers then picked Jackson with the No. 61 pick in the second round, and ruined Shanahan's chances of getting him, but it would not be long until Shanahan saw Jackson once again since they were in the same division.
Now Shanahan may make a move to get a receiver that he not only desired, but that the Redskins could use opposite Santana Moss since there is a big talent gap between him and young receivers Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.
The only problem is that Jackson will not come cheap.
The Chargers will easily want a first and third round pick in compensation of losing Jackson, plus the WR will want a new contract that mirrors the four-year, $47 million deal the Dolphins just gave receiver Brandon Marshall.
Shanahan's best friend in this speculated scenario is Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who loves to open up his pocket book and trade away draft picks for big name players.
If there is one team that could be a serious contender in the Jackson sweepstakes it is Washington, who already has great depth at running back with Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson, and Willie Parker, but not that much at receiver.
New quarterback Donovan McNabb needs another target to throw passes to besides Moss and tight end Chris Cooley.
Jackson may be the guy.
Crazier things have happened in Washington when it comes to trades and big name players, so do not rule this out as happening before training camp begins in just about a month's time.
