More Haynesworth headaches for Redskins

Do the Redskins have a Haynesworth problem?  I mean besides his not showing up to do his job?

It seems like each week, the Redskins headaches with Albert Haynesworth grow.  Once again, turmoil and Albert Haynesworth, surround Redskins Park.   

According to published reports, Haynesworth is being sued for $10 million by an exotic dancer for fathering a child, then abandoning mother and child.

Silvia Mena told the Postshe’s nearly four months pregnant and hasn’t received any support from Haynesworth, who signed a $100 million contract with the Redskins last year. Haynesworth’s agent declined comment to the Post.

Mena attorney Salvatore Strazzullotold the post he’s filing the lawsuit in Brooklyn Supreme Court today. Mena contends the two met in Miami during Super Bowl week.

In an off-season that was primarily dominated by “Change” with the ouster of Vinny Cerrato and arrival of Bruce Allen as GM, the ouster of Jim Zorn and arrival of new Head Coach and Team President Mike Shanahan, suddenly Redskins publicity has centered around negative occurrences.  First, the media headlines have been dominated by Albert Haynesworth’s disgruntled nature with the change in Washington’s defensive scheme under new DC Jim Haslett.  Haslett is installing a 3-4 defensive scheme.  Shanahan has not provided Haynesworth any assurances he would not be utilized in the nose tackle position, miffing Haynesworth.  Haynesworth has not appeared at any of the Redskins voluntary OTA workouts.   Although some players have backed off comments, you can bet the Redskins roster is not pleased with Haynesworth’s absence.  It also put the defense in a bit of a hole, since Haynesworth will enter mandatory workouts behind the ball and not up to speed on new defensive terminology.
