Raiders Should Acquire Ben Roethlisberger Then Call Bill Cowher

The latest rumors have our Oakland Raiders in serious talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers about acquiring their 2-time Super Bowl Champion QB.  The Steelers are reportedly seeking a pick in the top 10 of the NFL Draft.  The Raiders have the 8th overall selection and depending on whether Jimmy Clausen falls to #8, the Raiders and Steelers could be involved in the biggest offseason move this year. 

If the Steelers are truly shopping the services of Big Ben then I think Al Davis needs to do all he can to make it happen.  Roethlisberger would have to serve a four game suspension before he can suit up in the Silver & Black but it would be worth the wait considering we are getting a proven winner and a QB who is as tough as they come.  Trading for Ben Roethlisberger would be a great move. 

This led me to thinking of the possibility Big Ben reuniting with Bill Cowher in Oakland. 

I know Bill Cowher wants to return to the NFL.  Whether it's as a Head Coach or in a similar role to what Bill Parcells has in Miami, he wants to come back to the NFL and build a winner.  Could Ben Roethlisberger in Oakland be enough to convince Bill Cowher to come in and help return the Raiders to their glory days?  Time will tell.  If we land Ben Roethlisberger and Bill Cowher wants to return to the NFL next season, then why not in Oakland?
