Gradkowski Should Start
If the Raiders fail in their attempts (most likely will) in acquiring Donovan McNabb , they should turn to Bruce Gradkowski as the starting quarterback.
JaMarcus Russell basically slapped his team in the face once again by showing up to voluntary workouts fatter than he was a year ago. This can't sit well with owner Al Davis and maybe even he see that it's time to move on from his former No. 1 overall selection.
To be honest, this team has some solid talent and a scrappy, underrated quarterback like Gradkowski could help this team become respectable in 2010.
Look for receiver Chaz Schilens as a deep sleeper this year for fantasy as he is back from a foot injury that cost him half of last season.
At running back, Darren McFadden and Michael Bush will fight it out for which player will start. With Justin Fargas out of the picture, both runners have stronger fantasy value this season.
Not Far Away On Defense
This defensive unit is not that far off from being a strong group after the acquisition of Kamerion Wimbley from the Browns . If the Raiders can play well at the defensive tackle positions, this group could give a few teams some tough games.
Watch out for the Raiders as a team that could surprise some people in 2010. Then again, they could just fall on their faces and lose double digit games. You just never know with the Raiders.
