Tennessee Titans 2010-2011 Regular Season Schedule

Sean E. DouglasApr 20, 2010

Vince Young claimed his starting role once again after Kerry Collins failed to find the success he had in 2008.

If the Titans are going to return to the playoffs this season, they will need a great season from Young, as their defense is going through changes.

Can VY Continue To Progress?

Chris Johnson is the stud of all studs in the NFL right now, so there is no doubt the running game will thrive with him in the lineup. In the passing game, Vince Young won his job back last season and at times looked like the quarterback we expected him to be when he came out of Texas.

If the Titans are going to be a solid team this year, Young will need to have a great season. Kenny Britt, Nate Washington, and Justin Gage will help their talented young quarterback in the passing game.

Turnover Hurts a Good Defense

In 2008 the Titans' defense was one of the best in all of football, and a season later they struggled mightily. Injuries, the loss of Albert Haynesworth, and their defensive coordinator were major reason for the team's struggles to begin the season.

Now, Kyle Vanden Bosch is gone, and Keith Bulluck probably won't come back after the team signed Will Witherspoon. Assuming Bulluck is gone, this team should have continued struggles adjusting to the key leadership and talent they’ve lost over the past two seasons.

Staying healthy will be a key for this defense if they have any hopes of playing solid football in 2010.
